El concurso debió haber estado muy reñido y sirvió para agitar los ánimos entre sampedranos y capitalinos, porque en San Pedro Sula se apostaba básicamente por Pastora y en Tegucigalpa por una joven también bella llamada Geraldina Ferrari.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras. 69 años han transcurrido desde que Honduras se adentró a concursar en el Miss Universo, certamen de belleza más importante del mundo. Desde entonces, solo una representante ha clasificado una vez entre las 15 favoritas, y esa fue Pastora Pagán Valenzuela.
