Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Mascot The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets mascot is a prominent symbol of pride and spirit for the Georgia Institute of Technology. The mascot represents the athletic teams and the overall spirit of the Yellow Jackets. The Georgia Tech mascot is a yellow jacket, which is a type of wasp known for its aggressive nature. The yellow jacket is chosen as the mascot due to its association with the team name, the Yellow Jackets. The mascot serves as a powerful symbol of strength, tenacity, and unity. The original Yellow Jackets mascot was first introduced in 1915 and went through several redesigns over the years.
I attached the Birch Trees Stencil over the background and rubbed Aged Copper Deco Foil Gel over it with a palette knife. I let it dry (takes a while) and attached it to a white card base. I embossed the two flying witches with Wow Primary Ebony Embossing Powder and die-cut them out with the matching dies. I embossed the sentiment in the center of the trees using Ranger White Embossing Powder. I attached the two witches with foam tape behind them over the top and the bottom. I stamped the “let’s hang for a spell!” with black ink on a small strip of white cardstock and attached that to the top of the card. Last, I added Vintage Nuvo Drops in Chalk Stick and Black Board around the background.
The book also neglects to reference archival information on Kisii, a significant missed opportunity because the files of the Kenya National Archives are replete with discussions of witchcraft. Evans-Pritchard s canonical 1931 monograph Witchcraft, Oracles, and Magic Among the Azande , as well as more recent works by Peter Geschiere and Jean and John Comaroff, the book offers a sketchy treatment of existing anthropological and historical literature on Gusiiland and on witchcraft in Kenya more generally.
The original Yellow Jackets mascot was first introduced in 1915 and went through several redesigns over the years. Currently, the official Georgia Tech mascot is Buzz, a larger-than-life yellow jacket character. Buzz is known for his playful demeanor and energetic spirit, often seen at Georgia Tech sporting events and other university functions.
Stampin’ Up! Bewitching Best Witches Halloween Card
Good morning and happy Tuesday! Can you believe that today and tomorrow are the very LAST days to take advantage of this Sale-A-Bration?? Yep – it’s truer than true! So…if there’s something you’ve meant to do or get before SAB ends….now would be a great time to do or get it! And – since DOUBLE Peppermints are still on the table – it really makes it a win-win!! 🙂
I went back to Halloween for today’s card – with the fun Bewitching Bundle – it’s got the cute Witch Hat Builder Punch with it – and the Best Witches stamp set. All set atop some hypnotic Black & White Designs DSP. Take a look-see:
I started by adhering a piece of Black & White Designs DSP to a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock for the card front.
Then I cut a 4th-from-largest Deckled Rectangle Die from Granny Apple Green and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue on a jaunty angle.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the witch feet from the Bewitching stamp set in Tuxedo Black on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I used the 4th-from-largest Deckled Rectangle Die to cut it out.
I colored the stripes with my Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend and the buckles with a Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker. In the corner I added stars from the Best Witches stamp set in Crushed Curry.
I adhered the panel to the card front on a slightly different – but equally jaunty! – angle using Liquid Glue.
On a seperate piece of Basic White, I stamped the hat from the Bewitching stamp set in Gorgeous Grape and punched it with the Witch Hat Builder Punch. Then I colored the band with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and the dots with the Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend. I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the Best Witches sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and snipped it out with my Paper Snips. Using the Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend, I edged the little sentiment and then popped it onto the card front with Dimensionals.
I added some Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from the Best Witches stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. In the corner I added the Best Witches stars in Crushed Curry. I even added a few Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and then into my Gorgeous Grape card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Bewitching hat and Best Witches stars on the front…
…and more Black & White Designs DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Tell me she’s not the rockin’est witch in town!? She’s one of the Best Witches I’ve seen, just so Bewitching in Grape and Green with her pops of Pink. Black and White Designs DSP gives so many options for Halloween or…really almost any occasion! 🙂

1. Sarah - 2 stars - I was not impressed with Georgia Tech's yellow jackets mascot. First of all, the design was underwhelming. It looked more like a poorly drawn insect than a fierce mascot. Secondly, the choice of a yellow jacket as a mascot seemed odd and insignificant. I couldn't associate it with the school or its sports teams at all. Overall, I found the mascot to be uninteresting and uninspiring.
2. Joe - 1 star - Georgia Tech's yellow jackets mascot was a complete disappointment. The costume looked cheap and poorly made. It lacked the energy and excitement that a mascot should bring. Additionally, the yellow jacket theme did not make sense to me. It didn't represent the school or its spirit in any way. I think they should consider redesigning their mascot to better represent their identity and elevate the school's pride.
3. Emily - 2 stars - I was thoroughly unimpressed with Georgia Tech's yellow jackets mascot. It lacked personality and originality. I've seen much better mascots at other universities that truly embody the spirit and energy of the school. The yellow jacket theme seemed forced and out of place. I believe they should invest more effort into creating a mascot that resonates with the students, alumni, and fans of Georgia Tech.
4. Michael - 3 stars - The Georgia Tech yellow jackets mascot was alright, but not particularly memorable. It lacked uniqueness and failed to leave a lasting impression on me. Although the costume was decently made, it didn't make up for the overall lackluster design. I think they should consider revamping their mascot to better capture the essence of Georgia Tech and ignite more enthusiasm among the fans.
5. Jennifer - 2 stars - I found Georgia Tech's yellow jackets mascot to be quite underwhelming. The costume was not visually appealing, and it didn't seem to evoke any excitement or enthusiasm. It felt like a missed opportunity to create a memorable and captivating mascot. I believe the school should reconsider their choice and create a mascot that can truly rally the fans and represent Georgia Tech with pride.
