Magic Carpet Home Daycare is located in a lovely home in North Carlsbad, in the Calavera Hills subdivision. I have a small license which allows me to care for up to 6 children, and my daycare meets all of the requirements established by the State of California Community Care Licensing (license # 376627683) which includes being background checked and first aid/CPR certified.
Infants: I LOVE my infants and I provide plenty of snuggles, bouncing and rocking as well as supervised tummy/floor time that develops core strength and motor skills. I will talk, read and sing to your baby and develop a close bond. Music appreciation begins in the womb, and with proper music exposure in infancy, your baby will transition early into our music fundamentals program.
Preschool: My preschool program curriculum is like no other! I use Mother Goose Time (a darling program geared towards home daycares) as my academic foundation. I integrate music fundamentals throughout the whole program as music always enhances learning. After teaching preschool a successful preschool program, I understand what I need to do to prepare your child for kindergarten. I integrate a variety of exciting activities into our daily schedule that includes free play, play-dough, cooking and clean-up, puzzles, crafts, singing time, music foundations, dance, tumbling, exercise, story time, and educational activities.
Music Foundations: Despite the evidence that a rich foundation in music supports balanced learning, music education is being removed from most standard childcare programs and schools. I am a passionate defender of keeping music in education, and I am gifted at teaching it young. 3 days a week, I teach this exciting music foundations class. I use fun props and games and interactive methods to teach intervals, rhythm, and pitch. We learn to sing fun songs and regularly sing around the piano. This house is a "music house" where everything is done to a song, and children in my care will develop a deep appreciation for music.
