This might be a case of its not you its me but I didn't care for this one. Writing in general was okay but the content of this story didn't do anything for me.

So the book starts off with tattooed bad boy, Chase (aka My Boy) who is a druggie. He has had a bad life and looks to drugs to fill that void. He gets caught up in the drug world and goes to prison for four years (**SIDENOTE** I started reading this and was like OH NO! Not another years repeat! It does say four years quite a bit but didn't get on my nerves in this book) Ok back to the story. Chase gets out of prison and returns to Harmony Creek to move on with his life and stay clean and take over the farm his grandmother left him.

Then you have Kay (aka My Sweet Girl). Kay's parents hate her due to the death of her 6 year old sister which they blame on Kay. She is all alone in the world and blames herself for her sister's death. Her parents have had absolutely nothing to do with her since her sister's death

They meet up and have insta-lust. They see each other on a daily basis since they are both working at the church. They start calling each other my boy and my sweet girl over and over and over. They just automatically start staking ownership.

Missy is Kay's only friend and has a history with Chase and Chase doesn't want Kay to know they fooled around b/c it didn't mean anything. (view spoiler) [ (hide spoiler)] Kay doesn't want Chase to know what actually happened the night her sister died. But of COURSE! You know this is going to happen and they will each find out and then what happens, DRAMA!!

Ok so now I'll just skip to the things that got on my nerves while reading

1. With regard to Chase and drugs. (view spoiler) [ He goes out and falls off the wagon and then she rewards him but letting him fuck her and then enjoys wasted sex! WTF (hide spoiler)]

2. With regard to Kay and her mom. (view spoiler) [ They argue for a minute and then bam everything is hunky dory and all is right in the world again? HELLO! She cut you off for 4 years b/c your sister died and now she's fine b/c she found out you didn't leave the door unlocked but it was Doug? (hide spoiler)] NO NO NO.

3. With regard to Missy (view spoiler) [ They didn't have sex so he didn't lie. She never said anything to you either so how did he totally get the blame? Also Missy is a hoebag so what did you expect, she was doing two guys at once. (hide spoiler)]

4. With regard to Sarah's death (view spoiler) [ You are scared that Chase will leave you when he finds out that your boyfriend was trying to have unwanted sex with you when your sister died?? I mean really? He's been in jail for 4 years. He's not a cookie cutter great guy. He's got a tattoo that says judge me not and you think he's going to judge you for that? (hide spoiler)]

Good Witch Cast Responds to Sudden Cancellation

We're still trying to wrap our heads around the decision to end Hallmark's fantastic Good Witch.

The news took us by surprise on Friday, but now that we know no additional movies are planned, it makes it all the more difficult.

In the aftermath of the news, stars took to social media to pay their respects to the series, which will wrap for good July 25.

“I am so grateful for 7 seasons… and 13 years (of movies) of being a part of Good Witch, working with the KINDEST and most talented, cast & crew, producers, network! It has always felt like family,” Catherine Bell said on Instagram.

“Cassie Nightingale… a woman who is always positive, inspiring, and uplifting,” she added of her iconic character.

“Someone who brings out the best in everyone she meets makes life better for everyone around, and always sees the glass half FULL. She has inspired me to be a better person, to be kinder, gentler, more loving, and accepting."

"I know that many of you have felt the same 🥰 I feel so fortunate. I know we will all miss the Good Witch and all the amazing characters and stories. But I am definitely smiling because it happened.”

"It would be unseemly to complain about your show being cancelled after seven seasons, and I won’t. I’ve been very fortunate to have been on other long-running series, but Good Witch was special," James Denton said in a statement to Deadline.

"The fans were so devoted to the show and I’m disappointed for them, but I hope they know how much the actors appreciated their vocal support. The cast was the nicest collection of wildly talented people I’ve ever been around."

"The producers treated us extremely well, and I’m happy to still have two movies to make with the network so I’m not saying goodbye to the Hallmark audience yet," the actor added.

“Good Witch has enchanted viewers for over a decade with eight original movies, in addition to the seven-season series,” said Randy Pope, SVP, programming & development.

“We thank our leads whose chemistry and talent made Good Witch such a beloved and uniquely special viewing experience: Catherine Bell, who has brought the inimitable Cassie Nightingale to life for 13 years, and James Denton, who as Dr. Sam Radford has added so much charm and humor to the series."

"We also extend our gratitude and thanks to the entire cast and crew for their dedication and hard work.”

Reviews for "The Bell Witch: A Folklore Legend Comes to Life"

1. Nancy - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "The Impression of the Bell Witch." The story started off promisingly, with the legend of the Bell Witch being quite intriguing. However, as the movie progressed, it became evident that the plot was poorly executed. The scares felt forced, and the character development was lacking. The acting was subpar at best, and I found myself impatiently waiting for the movie to end. Overall, I wouldn't recommend "The Impression of the Bell Witch" if you're looking for a well-crafted horror film.
2. John - 1/5 stars - "The Impression of the Bell Witch" was one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen. The storyline was nonsensical, and the scares were laughable. The acting was incredibly bad, with wooden performances from the entire cast. The special effects were amateurish, and it felt like a low-budget film. The only impressive thing about this movie was how it managed to waste an intriguing legend and turn it into a complete disaster. Save your time and money and skip "The Impression of the Bell Witch."
3. Lisa - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for "The Impression of the Bell Witch" as I'm a fan of supernatural horror movies. However, this film fell short of my expectations. The pacing was slow, and it failed to build up any genuine suspense. The scares were predictable and lacked originality. The plot twists were easily foreseeable, leaving no room for surprise or intrigue. While the cinematography was decent, it couldn't redeem the overall lackluster execution of the film. If you're a die-hard horror fan, you might find some enjoyment in "The Impression of the Bell Witch," but for casual viewers, it's not worth the watch.
4. Mike - 2/5 stars - "The Impression of the Bell Witch" had potential, but it ultimately failed to deliver a satisfying horror experience. The storyline was confusing and poorly developed, leaving me with more questions than answers. The characters were one-dimensional, making it hard to invest in their fates. The scares were clichéd and didn't offer anything new or innovative. The movie had a few intense moments, but overall, it lacked depth and substance. If you're a fan of supernatural horror, you might find some enjoyment in "The Impression of the Bell Witch," but don't expect anything groundbreaking or memorable.
