1. John - 2/5 - I have to admit, I was quite disappointed with "Talisman of Charlemagne". The plot felt contrived and predictable, lacking any originality. The characters were one-dimensional and lacked depth, making it hard for me to connect with them. Additionally, the writing style was bland and uninspiring, failing to captivate my attention. Overall, I found this book to be a letdown and I wouldn't recommend it to others looking for a gripping fantasy novel.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I couldn't even finish "Talisman of Charlemagne". The writing was amateurish and filled with cliches. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it incredibly difficult to get through. The pacing was off, with long stretches of boredom followed by rushed and confusing action scenes. I found myself rolling my eyes at the predictable plot twists and cringing at the overused tropes. This book was a complete waste of my time and I regret even picking it up.
