Snow White and the Magical Creatures Snow White and the Magical Creatures is a beloved fairy tale that has been passed down through generations. The story follows Snow White, a beautiful princess, who befriends various magical creatures in her enchanted forest. As the tale goes, Snow White's wicked stepmother, the Queen, is envious of her beauty and orders a huntsman to kill her. Instead, the huntsman takes pity on Snow White and lets her escape into the forest. Lost and alone, Snow White discovers a quaint little cottage where she meets seven dwarfs who become her loyal friends. In addition to the dwarfs, Snow White encounters an array of magical creatures during her time in the forest.

Benny definitely has certain departments and connections throughout the university that utilize and embrace him more, but we re expanding his abilities to span across the entire university and state. Should El Paso repeat its pitch dominance from Saturday and couple that with possible appearances from Lucho and Petrovic, the Switchbacks defense could certainly face an uphill battle.

One of the most famous is the talking mirror, which the Queen possesses and consults for reassurance of her beauty. Locomotive lead the all-time record (6-1-6) and the last meeting between the two resulted in a loss for El Paso, the first time ever against the Switchbacks (1-4, Colorado Springs, Southwest University Park, 10/5/22).

TWO GAMES FOR WEEK TWO – El Paso Locomotive face a quick and challenging turnaround in Week 2. First, El Paso welcome Colorado Springs Switchbacks to Southwest University Park on Wednesday, March 15. Following that, Locomotive close out the March Homestand on Saturday, March 18 against Detroit City FC, who will make their first ever trip to El Paso.
LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK – Following Saturday’s loss, El Paso will be looking for a positive result against Colorado Springs. Unlike the Switchbacks – who open their 2023 campaign in El Paso -, Locomotive have had an opportunity to see its squad play in official competition. Head Coach and Technical Director Brian Clarhaut will fine-tune pieces in the squad to ensure Locomotive not only continue to maintain control of the match (as it did against Sacramento) but also capitalize on scoring opportunities in the box.
LUCHO & PETAR – After being left out of the 18-man roster for Saturday’s season opener as a precaution, it’s likely that Luis “Lucho” Solignac and Petar Petrovic make an appearance for one of, or both, games in Week 2.
Lucho is clinical in front of goal for Los Locos, finishing as the club’s top scorer the past two seasons. Petrovic lit up the offense during pre-season, dribbling through players to create scoring opportunities for the team and himself. Should El Paso repeat its pitch dominance from Saturday and couple that with possible appearances from Lucho and Petrovic, the Switchbacks defense could certainly face an uphill battle.
DEBUTANTS – Four players made their Locomotive debuts on Saturday: goalkeeper Benny Diaz (played full match), defender Marc Navarro (played 66’), defender Bence Pavkovics (played full match) and midfielder Denys Kostyshyn (played 85’). 2023 additions yet to make their debuts: Petar Petrovic, Erik McCue, Luis Moreno, Javier Garcia.
COLORADO SPRINGS SWITCHBACKS (8TH WESTERN CONFERENCE, 0-0-0, 0 PTS)
The Switchbacks open their 2023 campaign at Southwest University Park without starting midfielder Steven Echeverria (suspended one match for abusive language) and against a Locomotive side looking to bounce back following Saturday’s loss to Sacramento Republic.
Following the departure of Brendan Burke to Houston Dynamo FC of Major League Soccer, Stephen Hogan has stepped in his place to serve as the club’s General Manager & Head Coach, having previously served as Technical Director & Assistant Coach the past two seasons. Hogan had a busy offseason replacing key players who led the Switchbacks to third place in the 2022 regular season and a Western Conference Final appearance, where they lost to eventual Western Conference and USL Championship winners San Antonio FC.
Notable players who joined the squad include former All-League selections James Musa, Devon ‘‘Speedy’’ Williams and Romario Williams. Notable departures include the 2022 USL Championship Young Player of the Year Michee Ngalina (2022 – 14 goals, 9 assists), 2021 USL Championship MVP Hadji Barry (2022 – 16 goals, 9 assists) and 2022 All-League Second Team selection Cameron Lindley (2022 – 9 assists).

1. Sarah - 2/5 stars - I found "Snow White and the Magical Creatures" to be quite disappointing. The storyline felt shallow and predictable, and I couldn't connect with the characters. The dialogue was also quite cheesy and lacked depth. Overall, the movie felt like a cliché fairytale with no originality or excitement. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh and engaging fantasy film.
2. John - 1/5 stars - "Snow White and the Magical Creatures" is undoubtedly the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The acting was terrible, the special effects were laughable, and the plot was incredibly weak. The supposed magic and enchantment of the creatures was lost in dull scenes and lackluster storytelling. The movie failed to captivate my interest at any point, and I found myself checking the time multiple times throughout. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this film.
3. Emily - 3/5 stars - While "Snow White and the Magical Creatures" wasn't a complete disaster, it fell short of my expectations. The visuals were stunning, and the costumes were beautiful, but the story lacked depth and development. The characters felt one-dimensional, and their actions often seemed forced and unrealistic. Additionally, the pacing was inconsistent, with some scenes dragging on while others rushed through important plot points. Overall, it had its moments, but I was left wanting more from this supposedly magical tale.
