Monkeys are highly intelligent animals that are capable of learning and imitating behaviors. It has been observed that monkeys, like humans, can show responses to magic tricks. In experiments conducted by scientists, monkeys have been shown magic tricks where an object disappears or transforms into something else. The monkeys' reactions to these tricks vary, but they often display curiosity, confusion, and sometimes even fear. One possible explanation for this behavior is that monkeys have an innate understanding of cause and effect. When they see something disappear or transform, they try to make sense of it, just like humans do.

At their dorm room, Draculaura is scared of Toralei exposing her and getting her expelled. Frankie and Clawdeen support her and have an idea: since Draculaura is a witch, she use magic to stop Toralei from exposing her. On the witch lair, the trio searches on the spell books for one that can help. After some rejected suggestions, Draculaura finds a recipe for a potion called "Don't spill the beans". This potion keeps the subject from uttering a secret by replacing the subject's words with chicken squawks, but the spell must be cast only once at the subject, or else it will cause permanent damage to them, such as making them squawk forever or worse. The trio goes in a hunt for the ingridents. First: the stinkest smell of the year, which in this case, is Heath's gym sock that he sweated too much, Clawdeen borrows it from him. Second: a gargoyle's right ear, Frankie manages to get it from one of the school's gargoyles statues, but they accidentally fall into a rare Corpse Flower, smashing it in the process. Draculaura gets the next ingredient: a brain bit of Shakespeare. Suddenly, she hears something coming from Lagoona's room, she opens the door, and sees Lagoona singing a lovely song to a rubber piranha toy, which is odd because Lagoona usually just kills and eats fishes, as she's the fiercest monster in school. Lagoona tries to deny everything, but then confesses this is her biggest secret: she still sleeps with the rubber piranha, which she calls Senõr Squeaky, her mother gave to her when she was little, the toy was Lagoona's best friend while she lived in their castillo. She also reveals that she isn't actually friends with Toralei. In fact, Toralei is blackmailing to tell everyone Lagoona's secret if she doesn't do what she says. And although Lagoona doesn't agree with Toralei's actions, she's too scared of losing her reputation so she was forced to agree.

Toralei reminds her witchcraft is forbidden for monsters and blackmails to expose Draculaura s secret unless she drops out of the head fearleader election. This potion keeps the subject from uttering a secret by replacing the subject s words with chicken squawks, but the spell must be cast only once at the subject, or else it will cause permanent damage to them, such as making them squawk forever or worse.

When they see something disappear or transform, they try to make sense of it, just like humans do. This could be a result of their ability to learn and understand patterns in their environment. Another possible explanation is that monkeys are sensitive to social cues and body language.

Headmistress Bloodgood announces the election for head fearleader will occur on the next day. So everyone leaves the clawditorium except the two fearleaders. Draculaura shows good sport spirit and whishes Toralei good luck, but the werecat is not a fair opponent. To Draculaura's fear, Toralei reveals she knows Draculaura is a witch, as she heard her recording her monster minute on her IBall. Toralei reminds her witchcraft is forbidden for monsters and blackmails to expose Draculaura's secret unless she drops out of the head fearleader election. To make sure it won't be her word against Draculaura's, she calls Lagoona, who comes immediately from the water pipes and accidentally splashes water on Toralei, to the werecat's annoyance. Toralei forces Lagoona to say she saw Draculaura do witchcraft, although she never did, Toralei now has a witness to prove Draculaura's secret.

And although Lagoona doesn't agree with Toralei's actions, she's too scared of losing her reputation so she was forced to agree.

Realizing both of them are having the problems because of Toralei, Draculaura comforts Lagoona, saying she undestands what if feels like to have to hide a part of yourself if you're not ready to share it with others, Lagoona gets touched by the vampire's kindness. Draculaura decides to trust Lagoona with her secret and tells her she is indeed a witch, showing it by casting a spell to make the water from Lagoona's water tank float. Lagoona is amazed by Draculaura's magic. Draculaura then tells about the spell to stop Toralei to expose her, Lagoona is very interested in it and asks to watch her making the potion, Draculaura agress with a smile. On the witch lair, Draculaura, Clawdeen and Frankie finish the potion while Lagoona watches everything. On the next day, everyone is already voting for head fearleader in the clawditorium. Frankie starts to question if they actually got the right ear or the left ear from the gargoyle, this makes Lagoona fear the potion won't work, so she decides to stop Toralei herself. She drags Toralei to behind the curtains and tries to convince her to not expose Draculaura, defending her by saying she's generous and doesn't deserve to have her life destroyed. But Toralei is angry and fed up with Lagoona, and goes to stage to tell Monster High about her toy. Lagoona is devasted, but Draculaura, who overheard everything, decides to change her plans.

Toralei is about to expose Lagoona, but Draculaura, instead of using the spell to save her secret, uses it to save Lagoona's secret. When Toralei tries to talk about Señor Squeaky, a pig snoring comes out of her mouth, to everyone's surprise and confusing. The spell was suppose to make a chicken squawk sound, maybe because they needed in fact the left gargoyle ear for the potion. Toralei, not undestand what is happening to her, runs away to drink some water, Lagoona hugs Draculaura, thankful for her kindness. Toralei still can't tell Lagoona's secret, but can still tell Draculaura's secret. There's still some of the potion in the bottle, but Draculaura doesn't want to use it, fearing causing permanent damage to Toralei. Toralei comes back on stage, she's about to talk, but Draculaura interferes, claiming to everyone she's taking herself out of the running for head fearleader, leaving the audience in shock and concerned. Toralei runs back to the stage and finally tells everyone Draculaura is a witch, but no one believes her. She then tells about her secret witch lair in her closet and orders everyone to follow her to the dorm. Curious, everyone agrees to.

On the trio's dormitory, everyone is watching from the door, Clawdeen, Frankie and Draculaura try to stop Toralei, but she pushes them out of her way and opens the secret door to the lair, but to their shock, the lair is completely empty. Toralei accuses Draculaura of doing it anddemands her to undo it, but Draculaura responds witchcraft is forbidden. Angered and disappointment by Toralei's low blow, everyone walks away. Toralei hisses to Draculaura and leaves the room. The trio have no idea what happened to the witch stuff, but then Draculaura slips in a water puddle inside the lair, seeing the puddle, she realizes what happened. They go to Lagoona's room and find all the wicth stuff inside Lagoona's tank. Turns out, she realized Toralei's plan and swam through the pipes to their room before Toralei could get there and brought everything from the lair to her room, as a sign of gratitude for Draculaura saving her secret. The two girls thank each other and hug warmly. Suddenly, the Skullette S.A. system announces the votes for head fearleading have been counted and winner is: Draculaura, to everyone's happiness. Then, Draculaura hears her ICoffin vibrating but can't find it, the phone is in Lagoona's tank.

When a magician performs a trick, they often use subtle hand movements and misdirection to create the illusion. Monkeys, being highly observant animals, can pick up on these cues and understand that something strange is happening. It is also worth noting that not all monkeys respond to magic tricks in the same way. Just like humans, some monkeys may be more fascinated by magic, while others may be completely uninterested. This could be because of individual differences in their personality or past experiences. Overall, the fact that monkeys can convey responses to magic tricks highlights their intelligence and ability to understand and react to their environment. It also provides an interesting insight into the similarities between humans and monkeys when it comes to perceiving and interpreting the world around us..
