Bruno Mars Previews New Album ’24K Magic’ With Joyous Funk Song

Bruno Mars has announced his forthcoming LP, 24K Magic (on the album cover it’s written in Roman numerals as XXIVk Magic) and he has released the title track as its first single along with its accompanying video. The album will be released on November 18th via Atlantic Records and the song is currently available via iTunes.

The funk song celebrates glitz and glamour, beginning with a private jet landing in Las Vegas where Mars hangs with his posse, dancing to the groove while a bevy of bikini-clad dancers join him poolside. “I’m a dangerous man with some money in my pocket,” he warns, but the song is more of a party with “24 karat magic in the air” both serving as the chorus and the vibe of the feel-good clip, which was directed by longtime collaborator Cameron Duddy and Mars himself.

“Excited to announce 24k Magic, out this Friday!!” Mars teased Monday on Instagram. “You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party.”

24K Magic follows Mars’ breakout second LP, Unorthodox Jukebox, which peaked at Number One at on the Billboard 200, spawning hit singles like “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure” and “When I Was Your Man.”

In the four-year interim since Jukebox, Mars co-wrote, co-produced and sang on Mark Ronson’s 2015 smash “Uptown Funk,” which became the year’s biggest single with 14 weeks at Number One. He also co-wrote and co-produced Adele’s 25 track “All I Ask” (which managed to crack the Billboard charts, despite not being issued as an official single) and performed at both the 2014 and 2016 Super Bowl Half Time shows.

“I’m actually working with Bruno Mars right now,” Skrillex told Billboard in June. “I’m not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we’re doing is so fucking different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before. Every time I get in the studio with somebody else and collaborate, that’s when I always have revelations and learn about stuff. And I just love stepping outside of what I know and there’s no other music position that can do that.”

Bruno Mars Drops New Single '24K Magic' & Reveals New Album Cover Art

Girls (and boys) hit your hallelujah (WOO), because Bruno Mars has FINALLY released a brand new solo single called "24k Magic" -- and what's even better is that it's first single off his new upcoming album (which is also called 24k Magic)! But dropping a new single for fans to hear wasn't enough for Bruno. He also gave them the official "24k Magic" music video. As he tweeted himself -- "Chapter 3 begins."

Bruno last released an album in 2012 with Unorthodox Jukebox, which included "Locked Out of Heaven," "When I Was Your Man," "Treasure," "Gorilla," and "Young Girls." The album took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, went 4x Platinum in the US alone, and won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2014. Last year, he teamed up with Mark Ronson on another Grammy-winning tune "Uptown Funk," and also helped out Adele on her song "All I Ask" off her most recent album 25. So fans have been highly anticipating new music from the Hawaiian-born artist.

Earlier this week, Bruno teased his new single "24k Magic" on social media with a photo of himself in a baseball cap with "XXIVk," on it (AKA 24k in Roman Numerals). He wrote along with the photo, "You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party #24KMagic."

Bruno also shared via Twitter, that his third studio album is finished. And based on "24k Magic," we can't wait to hear the rest.

Speaking of his new album, Bruno revealed the cover art for his new record, which shows Bruno sitting on a chair, rocking a white hat, some shades, a gold chain, red top and shorts, and some awesome white loafers. "Bruno Mars XXIVk Magic" surrounded by two gold leaves that appear on the side, topped off with a gold crown.

So what can fans expect from this new album? In an interview with Complex this year, Skrillex mentioned that he had been working with Bruno on some songs on his new album, "I'm joining him for his album. Who knows if I'll do something that's more of a Skrillex thing with him, but he has a vision for his album, and I’m helping him produce it on some of the songs."

And considering his past collaborations, we're excited to see who else makes a guest appearance on Bruno's new album production AND vocal-wise.

One thing is for sure. Bruno's #Hooligans are MORE than ready for his new album:

Bruno Mars: 24K Magic single, music video released

Bruno Mars’ new song has arrived, as well as its music video and the title, artwork, and release date for his next album.

Late Thursday, the pop star debuted “24K Magic,” his first solo single since “Young Girls” in 2013, and the first track from his new album, due Nov. 18, also titled 24K Magic.

The new song starts off slow, reminiscent of ’80s R&B, with an autotuned voice singing, “Tonight, I just wanna take you higher,” before kicking into a familiar gear, turning into an energetic dance track. “Put yo’ pinky rings up to the moon Girls/ what y’all trying to do 24 karat magic in the air/ Head to toe soul player,” Mars continues before diving into the first verse. “Pop pop it’s showtime / showtime / Guess who’s back again,” he reminds fans (and presumably those girls from earlier).

Mars also released the cover art for the album on Instagram, which sees him seated in a (presumably 24k) gold chair, with the album’s title next to him. 24K Magic is set to be released on Nov. 18.

Though he had hits before, Mars’ 2012 album Unorthodox Jukebox propelled him to stardom. The No. 1 album was propelled by lead single “Locked Out of Heaven,” which held the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks. Mars parlayed that into playing at two Super Bowls and lending his vocals to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk,” the biggest song of 2015.

“24K Magic” is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music, and for purchase on iTunes. Hear it below.

I was really disappointed with the Nat Geo Science Magic Bundle. The experiments were too basic and didn't provide any real wow factor. I was hoping for some mind-blowing tricks or illusions, but instead, I got simple experiments that I could have easily found online. It just didn't live up to my expectations and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking for something more advanced or exciting.
2. Jason - 3 stars
I have mixed feelings about the Nat Geo Science Magic Bundle. While the experiments were interesting and educational, they didn't appeal to my personal taste. I was hoping for more hands-on activities and visual effects, but instead, there was a heavy focus on theory and explanations. It wasn't the right fit for me, but I can see how others might appreciate the educational aspect of it.
3. Samantha - 2 stars
I purchased the Nat Geo Science Magic Bundle for my kids, hoping it would provide them with hours of fun and learning. However, we were all disappointed by the lackluster experiments and confusing instructions. The materials provided were flimsy, and some of the experiments didn't work as described. Overall, it was a frustrating experience and not worth the money. There are definitely better science kits out there that offer more engaging and reliable experiments.
4. Michael - 1 star
I regret buying the Nat Geo Science Magic Bundle. The experiments were too basic and didn't capture my interest at all. It felt like a cheap attempt to cash in on the "magic" trend without delivering anything truly captivating. The instructions were unclear and the materials provided were of poor quality. I wouldn't recommend this bundle to anyone looking for a truly magical and educational experience.
