A Day in the Life of a Michigan Tech Mascot: Behind the Scenes with Blizzard and Torch

By admin

The Michigan Tech mascot, known as the Husky, is an iconic symbol of the university. The Husky represents the spirit, strength, and determination of the students, faculty, and alumni. It serves as a reminder of the university's commitment to excellence in education and athletics. The choice of the Husky as the mascot is rooted in the university's history and its connection to the local community. Michigan Tech is located in Houghton, a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where winter is a dominant season. The Husky embodies the ruggedness and resilience needed to thrive in such challenging conditions.

If you choose to order the listing with no hooks, please know you will be responsible for purchasing your own findings and attaching them. I have this option set up specifically for those who love the design and style of my earrings but have sensitive ears to certain metals.

Please also note that when buying any set using variegated thread multicolor that the listing photo may differ slightly from the set you receive as it is nearly impossible to make identical sets. Please note that while these earrings can take getting a slight drizzle during a rain shower, it is highly recommended to not get them wet like in the pool shower working out etc.

The Husky embodies the ruggedness and resilience needed to thrive in such challenging conditions. The official mascot costume is a larger-than-life representation of a Husky. It wears a Michigan Tech hockey jersey and is often seen at sporting events, pep rallies, and other university functions.

Each earring design is unique in size so please make sure to check out the second listing photo for measurements. Second photo may or may not be the set you receive, it is used only to show sizing of that specific design.

Color may vary slightly in person due to camera quality and screen resolution. Please also note that when buying any set using variegated thread (multicolor) that the listing photo may differ slightly from the set you receive as it is nearly impossible to make identical sets.

Please note that while these earrings can take getting a slight drizzle during a rain shower, it is highly recommended to not get them wet like in the pool/shower/working out etc. Earrings are coated with a starch material that will dissolve if too wet which can cause larger sets to curl. If this does happen, you can try to sandwich them between paper towels with a weight on them (like a book) or give them a little press with an iron using a barrier in between.

Due to the small amount of supplies I have; I am unable to offer returns or exchanges. Please message me if you have any concerns. If you have any questions feel free to message me at any time!

Reviews for "The Unofficial Mascots of Michigan Tech: How Fans Show Their Husky Pride"

1. Ethan - 2 out of 5 stars - I am not a fan of the Michigan Tech mascot. To be honest, I find it quite unappealing and uninspiring. The design of the mascot could be improved as it lacks creativity and originality. It feels like a generic representation of a mascot rather than something unique to the university. Overall, I think Michigan Tech should consider revamping their mascot to make it more engaging and memorable.
2. Sarah - 1 out of 5 stars - As a proud alumni of Michigan Tech, I have to say that I was disappointed with the university's choice of mascot. The current mascot lacks personality and fails to capture the spirit of our school. It is difficult to connect with and does not feel representative of the student body. I believe that a mascot should be something inspiring and memorable, and unfortunately, the Michigan Tech mascot falls short in that regard. I hope the university reconsiders and comes up with a more engaging mascot in the future.
3. Jason - 2 out of 5 stars - I find the Michigan Tech mascot to be quite unimpressive. It doesn't evoke any sense of school spirit or pride in me. The design seems outdated and lacks the energy and enthusiasm that a good mascot should have. I think it's time for Michigan Tech to invest in a new mascot that can truly ignite a sense of unity and excitement among the students and alumni. There is so much potential for a great mascot, and it's disheartening to see that it hasn't been realized yet.
4. Samantha - 3 out of 5 stars - While I don't hate the Michigan Tech mascot, I do think it could use some improvements. It feels a bit generic and lacks a strong defining characteristic that would make it stand out from other mascots. I think the university should aim for a mascot that represents the unique qualities and strengths of Michigan Tech better. With some creative redesigning, I believe the mascot has the potential to become more appealing and memorable to both current students and alumni.
