Magical Blade 1950 is a fantasy novel written by renowned author J.K. Rowling. Published in 2010, the book follows the journey of young wizard Lucas Hamilton as he discovers an ancient and powerful sword that possesses extraordinary magical properties. Set in the year 1950, the story takes place in a world where magic is a common part of everyday life. Lucas, a skilled and talented wizard, stumbles upon the Magical Blade during a routine exploration of an enchanted forest.

Why limit your resources be creative since your characters are unique i think the way they get new skills should be unique. It also gives the player reason to do more than just grind levels to gain things other than stats. It makes the player have to pay attention to not skip useful and valuable abilities. Leveling to get abilities always felt a bit shallow to me.

As for how to unlock other types of magic, well, without going into spoilers, we can confirm you will naturally unlock those by progressing through the main storyline. Magic Powers

Magic Powers are a mechanic used in game. They can be used to damage other players or gain abilities to help fight. There are two types of skills, General Powers/Skills and Magic Powers/Skills. Skills are earned by doing quests. General Skills are obtain from Marm and bosses, and do not need for someone to equip their staff. Magic Skills however needs the user to equip their staff and each magic used can only do the skills that are correspond to the user's current element (unless you are using creator magic). All ultimate skills for each type of magic is a boss drop. The damage dealt from offensive skills uses the formula:

(Skill's base damage) x (Your power for that magic). (For creator magic, the second parameter is the stats of the magic you are training. All skills in the creator magic scale by that amount, regardless of the stats of the magic the skills belong to.)
