Wow, everyone's talking about She Ra, and here I am watching Twelve Forever (1 Viewer)

So rather than watching the new Season of She Ra on Netflix, I decided to spend the last few days watching Twelve Forever.

Twelve forever is the story of Reggie, a 12 year old girl who doesn't want to grow up, and so she uses a magic key she made to travel to Endless, a wacky fantasy island populated by strange whimsical and eccentric characters, and her and her friends have super powers, and they go there to escape the stresses of their real lives and have fun adventures. And the island has this neat little quirk that anything you bring to it (toys, other objects) come to life, and the place is utterly insane and makes no sense.

It follows the proud adventure time tradition of starting off cutesy and adorable and oddball, and then starting to show hints there might be more going on.

Spoiler: Show

Namely that if you spend long periods of time on Endless, you start to forget the real world and go insane, and you also begin to mutate. Reggie's friends spend five days there without her for spring break, and by the time she joins them they are insane babbling wrecks. They also meet a character who is a kid whose been there since the fifties, and he's become a deranged thief, and his body parts keep falling off like a doll.

It also follows the Steven Universe tradition of being gay as all Hell. Two of the supporting Endless characters are a pair of buff red humanoids who are like the most wholesome gay couple ever. and.

Spoiler: Show

Midway through the first season Reggie gets her first crush. On an older girl who makes home movies at school.

And then of course there is the Butt Witch, the main villain of the movie. If I were to describe her, I would say this. If Tim Curry was still doing voice work, he would voice this character. (Not to say the current VA Matt Berry doesn't do an excellent job. Its just. I can't not hear Butt Witch talk and imagine Tim Curry in this role.)

Like, she's easily the best part of the show, she steals every scene she is in, I could listen to her read a phonebook, and my only complaint is she doesn't show up every episode.

So. anyone else watching this besides me?

1. John - 2 stars:
I was really looking forward to trying out Magic Waffle in Jacksonville, but I left disappointed. The service was extremely slow, and the wait staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The waffles themselves were rather bland and lacked any unique flavors. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience and I don't think I'll be going back.
2. Sarah - 1 star:
I cannot recommend Magic Waffle in Jacksonville. The cleanliness of the restaurant was seriously lacking, with dirty tables and sticky floors. The waffles were also a letdown, as they were undercooked and doughy in the middle. The lack of attention to detail and poor quality of food made for a disappointing visit. I would advise looking elsewhere for a better waffle experience.
3. David - 2 stars:
I recently tried Magic Waffle in Jacksonville and was not impressed. The menu was limited and lacked variety, with only a few options to choose from. The waffles themselves were average at best - nothing special or unique about them. The portion sizes were also smaller than expected for the price. Overall, I found the experience to be mediocre and not worth the hype.
4. Emily - 2 stars:
Magic Waffle in Jacksonville was a letdown for me. The waffles were dry and lacked the fluffy texture I was expecting. The toppings and syrup were also underwhelming and didn't enhance the flavor of the waffle. The overall presentation and taste were just average, and I didn't feel like the experience justified the price. I won't be going back anytime soon.
