The Power of Clarity: How to Make Something Go by Defining Your Intentions

By admin

Magic is a concept that has fascinated humans for centuries. It holds the promise of supernatural abilities and the ability to manipulate the world around us. One of the intriguing aspects of magic is its ability to defy the laws of nature and create seemingly impossible outcomes. It can astound and captivate audiences, leaving them in awe of the magician's power. Magic tricks are often centered around a singular goal: to make something disappear, reappear, or transform into something else. The magician's skill lies in their ability to manipulate the audience's perception and divert their attention from the actual workings of the trick.

Witch mobility

This is a requirement because Witch/Wizard in 1v1 situations essentially has limited defenses. FG/SA/Q Block/SBlock essentially don't exist. They are PVE ONLY protections. If every grab is going to 100% ignore all of these defenses then they mean nothing.

Additionally, dealing with block/sa/fg needs to be dealt with. These classes simply have no counter to this. For those thinking you just break all blocks that's not at all how the game works in 1v1 situations. In a group fight you can smash anyone and these issues are not really relevant. However, in 1v1 it simply does not work. It's defective.

I find it amusing they're nerfing guard. It's already unplayable with tamer in certain situation.

The only way to survive is to use limited iframe skills to get to point B, with the current mechanic(not to mention DR is buffed in RBF). Also, ranged class simply keeps moving backward. You run out of skills to iframe to even reach the target to point B & still get owned anyway in large scale. Also frontal guard is useless cause peeps surround you on the side to land a back attack at large range to CC you while to attack with it. If I use super armor it's instant death. Using grab protected super armor or unprotected. Still die anyway.

In 1v1 situation, awakening casters are too slow. Easy tap with one grab. Full combo down attack CC.

Playing caster in my perspective is pretty much scrub mechanic in a nutshell. Just disrupt others fighting. No interaction whatsoever. PA managed to makes it possible with Ranger & Archer to have interacting fight in 1v1 & large scale. Casters, not so much.

Witch mobility

Since the reboots hit life servers i still feel like the class lacks 1 specific thing that seemingly all the other classes have lots of. While i believe that the damage is somewhat ok (atleast against most classes) i want to tackle the problem that is called moblity. Awakening Witch has the problem that all the classes have an insanely high amount of mobility skills in their kit or mobility spells that are spammable like dk, sage or even succession casters wich both still have far more mobility than their awakening counterpart (even with the introduction of elementalization) even tho those specs work perfectly fine when played 100% on range. Yet awakening casters wich need to stand in the enemys face lack this crucial mobility to keep up with others or just to avoid the incoming damage to stay alive. Mind that Awakening casters are already pretty slow to begin with and all their spells are beeing hardcasts that cant be canceled so i think introducing another moblity spell into the kit is not only fair but very much needed nowadays.

The introduction of said moblility would not only provide the class with the needed option to avoid damage in pvp fights wich got so crucial with all the other super mobile classes and added damage but also to help her PvE and traveltime inbetween packs wich is imo her biggest flaw in PvE.

How would we go about the spell and what would it do ?

Just thinking about where we put it i feel like if we remove call of earth/fire for it would be the best option since this spell rn adds absolutely nothing to the class but a worse toxic flood/ lava field.

and to not just throw this out here like to also make teo suggestions of how it might look like.

1st:
Magma Eruption/Earth Eruption

The caster submerges into the ground and can travel a certain distance under the ground leaving cracks on the ground to indicate where its going (wiz like magma emerging from it/ witch just leaves cracks on the ground) leaving a damaging field like a dumped down lavafield/toxicflood on the ground where the cracks are for a few second. After the distance is traveled the caster reemerges from the ground (preferably without unprotected animatinlock).

2cnd:
Crackling/Breeze

The caster shoots farward a projectile in a zigzag motion and disappears himself dealing a small amount of damage to enemies the projectile passed through and reappearing where the projectile stopped after a certain amount of distance traveled. This can have alot of variance since we could also have this as a recastable spell that only makes you travel when recasted after a certain amount of time after the skill got used (this also allows for crazy outplay potential and might be the most fun of the two).

I know the big parts of the reboot are propably done but looking at the poor mobility on awakening casters i have big hopes for another mobility spell beeing added.

Also like to talk about the skill

Elementalization

This skill isnt working like its supposed to. Half the time it gets you killed because of either the animation lock or the extreme hit stagger that sometimes even makes this skill travel no distance at all.

Id suggest to make the starting aswell as the travel animation i-frame to work atleast against the extreme hit stagger.

This skill could also use a speedup aswell as removal of the animation lock but id be happy if the skill would atleast do whats its supposed to.

Here also more minor stuff but since ur already looking into BSR skills with recent changes like to mention this.

The flow from lightning spells into Barrage of lightning doesnt work if the skill used the BSR version of the base skill. This applys to
- Detonative flow (25%)
- Thunder Storm (50%)
And since it doesnt work on those 2 i also suspect its not working on Voltaic pulse too (200%)

Anyway wishing a great day
And keep your hats pointy.

It taps into the human desire for wonder and intrigue, offering a brief escape from the mundane realities of everyday life. Magic performances create a sense of anticipation and excitement, leaving spectators in a state of astonishment. Magic can be found in various forms around the world. From stage magic to street magic, the art of illusion transcends cultural boundaries and continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
