MAGIC CARPET RIDE Bracelet Pattern
Knowledge of odd count peyote is needed as no instructions for this stitch are given within the pattern. Let’s face it, I'm getting on in years. I’m a child of the late 50’s and 60’s. I grew up listening to the most awesome music. I’ve always been fond of the tune, MAGIC CARPET RIDE sung by the group, STEPPENWOLF. My love for that song produced this design, plain and simple. And even today, July 2021, that song still DOES IT for me.
I always use 4lb Fire Line fishing line to stitch; a long, size 12 beading needle; size 11/0 Delica beads; size 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads for the optional trim and I added a toggle bar and ring for the closure.
I used 7 different DELICA bead colors for a total of 1853 beads! There are 19 columns and 195 rows.
The finished size of MAGIC CARPET RIDE is 1 1/8 inches wide (which includes the trim) by 6 1/2 inches long before adding the clasp.
If you need to lengthen your bracelet, continue the striped pattern at each end until you have your desired length.

1. Mark - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with the Magic Carpet Bracelet. The concept was great and I was excited to receive it, but the quality was really poor. The material used felt cheap and the colors were not as vibrant as shown in the pictures. The bracelet also broke after just a couple of wears. I expected better craftsmanship for the price I paid. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing this bracelet.

I thought it was made from hypoallergenic materials, but clearly, that wasn't the case. It was incredibly uncomfortable to wear, and I had to take it off after just a few hours. Save your money and avoid this bracelet at all costs.
3. Michael - 2 stars - I didn't have a great experience with the Magic Carpet Bracelet. The sizing was completely off, and it was way too tight on my wrist. The clasp was also quite flimsy, and I was constantly worried that it would come undone and I would lose the bracelet. The design itself was not as intricate as I had hoped, and it just looked cheap overall. I was really disappointed with this purchase.
