Magic Tree House is a popular children's book series written by Mary Pope Osborne. The series follows the adventures of siblings Jack and Annie, who discover a magical treehouse filled with books that take them on journeys through time and space. In the thirtieth installment of the series, titled "Hurricane Heroes in Texas," Jack and Annie find themselves in Galveston, Texas, in the year 1900. They arrive just days before a devastating hurricane is set to hit the island. As they explore the town, Jack and Annie meet a girl named Clara who is determined to save her home and her father's business from the impending storm. With the help of the magical treehouse, they embark on a mission to find a special gift that could provide protection against the hurricane.

With the help of the magical treehouse, they embark on a mission to find a special gift that could provide protection against the hurricane. As they navigate the dangers of the hurricane, Jack and Annie learn about the resilience and strength of the people of Galveston. They witness acts of bravery and selflessness as the community comes together to help each other during this difficult time.

TV series director Zheng Xiaolong (Empresses in the Palace, ER Doctors) is making his transition from the small screen to the big screen in the fantasy-thriller Turandot (aka The Curse of Turandot).

Turandot features an all-star, international cast that includes Guan Xiaotong (Shadow), Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody), Sophie Marceau (Braveheart), Collin Chou (Special ID), Jiang Wen (The Hidden Man), Hu Jun (Kungfu Cyborg: Metallic Attraction) and Vincent Perez (The Crow: City of Angels).

The film follows Princess Turandot who is cursed by a mysterious power emanating from three Mazovian bracelets that were given to her as birthday gifts and these bracelets turned the princess to become cruel and she loses her humanity.
