Magic Cookie Bar – Yankee Candle
I think Magic Cookie Bar might be my favorite of the three candles I’ve tried so far in Yankee’s Cookie Swap collection. It smells heavenly!! The wax smelled like a sweet caramel and chocolate cookie. Warm and yummy!!
Layers of lusciousness – chocolate, coconut flakes, brown sugar, butterscotch, on and on!
I was close! My nose missed butterscotch and coconut flakes and if coconut is present in this scent once the candle is burning, I’ll be in heaven! I LOVE coconut in pretty much any bakery scent. It adds an extra layer of yum I just love!!
I lit this candle in my small powder room to start out and ended up leaving it there till the very end. I wanted maximum scent throw and definitely got that in a small room. Once the wick was lit, it took a good 4 hours to reach a full melt pool and the aroma….. so perfect! My entire bathroom smelled like a yummy baked cookie with chocolate and caramel notes. I still had a hard time picking out coconut and butterscotch but it didn’t matter… this scent itself was perfect just as it was. Just imagine a gooey warm baked cookie as the base – now add hints of creamy chocolate and chunks of melted caramel. Yeah!! YUM.
Strength – For me, Yankee candles have their limitations and that means I never burn one in anything larger than a small bathroom. If I even try, I’m disappointed. With that being said, I would rate this candle an 8 out of 10 (strength wise) in a small room. I definitely got maximum scent throw and I loved it. Medium to larger rooms would not do as well so definitely stick to small rooms if you decide to try this candle.

This candle burned great. No wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.

I loved, loved, LOVED Magic Cookie Bar from Yankee and will for sure purchase it again should this candle make a comeback. Bakery lovers… YUM!! Definitely give this one a try if you find it and if you do… burn it in a small room so you can really enjoy every bit of it.

Stories are told of werewolves prowling through the forests, their instincts heightened by the cursed moon, ready to unleash their feral rage upon unsuspecting victims. People who find themselves under the cursed full moon are said to experience strange afflictions. Their minds are clouded with despair, and their emotions run wild. They may be plagued with nightmares and disturbing visions, unable to find solace in their own thoughts. Legends of cursed full moons warn of dire consequences for those who dare to venture outside during this time. They speak of individuals who were driven to madness or forced into committing unspeakable acts under the influence of the cursed moon. It is said that even the strongest of wills can be broken when faced with the malevolent energy emanating from the cursed full moon. However, not all believe in the curse of the full moon. Some dismiss it as mere superstition, arguing that the supposed events that take place during these nights are simply the result of coincidence and human imagination. They see the full moon as nothing more than a natural phenomenon, devoid of any supernatural powers or curses. Whether one believes in the curse of the full moon or not, it cannot be denied that the legend has captured the human imagination. It serves as a reminder of the thin veil that separates the known from the unknown, the light from the darkness. Perhaps there is some truth hidden within these legends, or maybe they are nothing more than imaginative stories created to entertain and thrill. As the full moon rises in the night sky, its luminous glow casting an ethereal light upon the world, one can't help but wonder if there is any truth to the cursed full moon legend. 1. John - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Cursed full moon". The story was promising, but the execution fell flat. The writing was choppy and lacked depth, making it hard for me to connect with the characters. The plot felt rushed and predictable, with no real surprises or twists to keep me engaged. I also found the dialogue to be forced and unnatural, which took away from the overall reading experience. Unfortunately, this book just didn't live up to my expectations.
2. Jessica - 3/5 stars - "Cursed full moon" had an interesting concept, but I personally couldn't get into it. The pacing was uneven, with slow moments dragging on and action-packed scenes feeling rushed. The character development was lacking, and I didn't feel invested in their stories or motivations. The world-building also left much to be desired, as the author didn't provide enough background information to fully understand the supernatural elements. Overall, it had potential but failed to deliver a compelling and cohesive story.
