Poe makes his comeback at Baltimore Ravens’ Sunday night football game

Cheers rang out from the stands at M&T Bank Stadium when Baltimore Ravens mascot Poe made his return for the big rivalry game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

In an entertaining display, current mascots Edgar and Allan wheeled Poe onto the field in a wheelchair. Poe then jumped out of the wheelchair and onto his feet. The crowd went wild as they saw their beloved mascot back to his healthy, energetic self at Baltimore’s final home game of the regular season.

Poe was placed on injured reserve in September after suffering a “serious injury to his drumstick,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said in a statement at the time.

During a preseason game, Poe took part in a routine halftime event, the Mascot Classic. Youth football players and local mascots played a friendly game of football, but that game quickly turned ugly when Poe fell while trying to avoid a tackle.

Poe was carted off the field and after a number of tests it was determined the big bird was out for the entire season.

Former mascots Edgar and Allen came back after 14 years of retirement to take over for Poe for the 2022 season.

There’s no word if Poe will go back solo or if all 3 birds will continue together for next season.

Legend has it that the coral-haired witch derives her powers from her connection to the deep seas. She is said to be able to communicate with the ancient creatures that dwell beneath the ocean's surface, including mythical beings like mermaids and sea serpents. Her hair, acting as a conduit for this incredible power, allows her to cast powerful spells and perform extraordinary feats of magic.

Ravens mascot makes triumphant return from brutal injury

The Baltimore Ravens’ matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football featured a return that is sure to get the home crowd in Baltimore excited.

One of the Ravens mascots named Poe returned in dramatic fashion on Sunday, coming out in a wheelchair before taking off a fake cast on his leg in an ode to former pro wrestler Kevin Nash to excite the crowd.

The beloved mascot suffered a very real injury in the preseason during a halftime show that featured a football game between the Baltimore Ravens mascots and youth football players.

He was ultimately carted off the field, and the injury was expected to put an end to his season with the Ravens.

While this addition obviously doesn’t help the Ravens on the field, the fans certainly seemed excited to see him again after his scary injury.

“They had the Ravens mascot do the Kevin Nash bit!” tweeted Chris Mueller of 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh.

“Poe coming back is something I should’ve factored into my handicap of this game,” tweeted Big Cat of Barstool Sports.

“It’s incredible how fast ACL rehabs have gotten. Welcome back, Poe!” tweeted Mitch Goldich of Sports Illustrated.

Even though mascots aren’t asked to do as much as athletes on the field, it is pretty incredible that Poe was able to come back so fast considering the severity of an ACL injury.
