Elden Ring Dragon Heart Notes & Tips

  • The player can obtain 23 dragon hearts on NG cycle, however only 20 are required to purchase all Dragon-based Incantations.
  • Used to interact with the statue at the Church of Dragon Communion to acquire several Dragon-based Incantations
  • Communion with dragons will slowly turn you into one, as such your eyes will reflect this after you purchase 5 Dragon Spells. If you want to keep these special eyes, you should not obtain the bloody finger or be touched by the three fingers, as these will overwrite the dragon eyes.
  • According to the item descriptions of Magma Breath and Magma Wyrm's Scalesword, those who partake Dragon Communion would eventually turn into a Magma Wyrm. However, regardless of the amount of hearts you have consumed, aside from the cosmetic change on your eyes, you do not actually turn into a Magma Wyrm.
  • Dragon Hearts cannot be sold.

For anyone who want their lost dragon eyes back, it's not the fastest way, but you can go into ng+.
it removes all alterations, but the dragon communion church has copies of all starting breath spells even if you already have them all, so the eyes can come back with a few hearts spent. That giant dragon Greyoll was an easy way to get the dragon eyes back.

Are "Magma Wyrm found inside the Volcano Manor Legacy Dungeon" and the one in the "video link" at the bottom (which is clearly a magma worm in the Volcano Manor Legacy Dungeon) not the same one? If they're not the same, then there are 2 Magma Wyrms in that dungeon. That seems unlikely (although I have not yet been through there myself, so I can't say for sure). If they ARE the same, then there are only 22 hearts listed, but it says you can get 23, so one is missing.

Dragon heart Stew:

Preheat the oven to 325°F and set a rack in the lower middle position.

Pat the dragon heart dry and season with the salt and pepper. In a large Dutch oven or heavy soup pot, heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering. Brown the meat in 3 batches, turning with tongs, for about 5 minutes per batch; add one tablespoon more oil for each batch. (To sear the dragon heart properly, do not crowd the pan and let the meat develop a nice brown crust before turning with tongs.) Transfer the dragon heart to a large plate and set aside.

Add the onions, garlic and balsamic vinegar; cook, stirring with a wooden spoon and scraping the brown bits from bottom of the pan, for about 5 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook for a minute more. Add the dragon heart with its juices back to the pan and sprinkle with the flour. Stir with wooden spoon until the flour is dissolved, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the wine, beef broth, water, bay leaf, thyme, and sugar. Stir with a wooden spoon to loosen any brown bits from the bottom of the pan and bring to a boil. Cover the pot with a lid, transfer to the preheated oven, and braise for 2 hours.

Remove the pot from the oven and add the carrots and potatoes. Cover and place back in oven for about an hour more, or until the vegetables are cooked, the broth is thickened, and the meat is tender. Fish out the bay leaf and discard, then taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary. Serve the stew warm -- or let it come to room temperature and then store in the refrigerator overnight or until ready to serve. This stew improves in flavor if made at least 1 day ahead. Reheat, covered, over medium heat or in a 350°F oven. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Note: If you don’t have a Dutch oven or covered pot that is appropriate for the oven, the stew can be cooked on the stove. The timing will be the same and it should be cooked over the lowest setting.
Freezer-Friendly Instructions: The stew can be frozen for up to 3 months. Before serving, defrost the stew in the refrigerator for 24 hours and then reheat on the stovetop over medium-low heat until hot.

Enjoy or dragon heart stew!

Reviews for "The Black Witch Series: An Exploration of Prejudice and Discrimination"

1. Susan - 2/5 stars - The Black Witch series was a huge disappointment for me. I had heard great things about it and was excited to dive into a new fantasy world. However, I found the characters to be poorly developed and lacked depth. The main protagonist, Elloren, was incredibly passive and it was frustrating to see her make the same mistakes over and over again. The world-building was also lacking, and I never felt fully immersed in the story. Overall, I was left feeling underwhelmed by this series.
2. Michael - 1/5 stars - I could not understand the hype surrounding the Black Witch series. The plot was slow and meandering, and I found myself losing interest halfway through the first book. The writing style was also a major turn-off for me, with clunky prose that made it difficult to stay engaged. Additionally, the book seemed to rely heavily on stereotypes and lacked originality. I was hoping for a unique and captivating fantasy series, but unfortunately, this was not it.
3. Emily - 2/5 stars - I had high hopes for the Black Witch series, but it ultimately fell flat for me. The pacing was inconsistent and it took way too long for the story to really get going. The author also tried to tackle important social issues such as racism and prejudice, but I felt that it was handled poorly and lacked nuance. The characters felt one-dimensional and it was hard to feel invested in their journey. Overall, I found the series to be underwhelming and would not recommend it.
