I’m so excited to be publishing this free amigurumi witch pattern. I absolutely love Halloween! I decorate both the inside and outside of my house every year.

Growing up, Thanksgiving and Christmas stressed me out – so much cleaning, shopping, cooking, traveling, etc. I always looked forward to Halloween, because it’s a lot of fun without much stress. Now that I’m grown I enjoy preparing for and hosting holidays, but Halloween still holds a special place in my heart. 🎃 👻

That said, I definitely don’t like scary or violent Halloween themes. I have enough anxiety in my life. I don’t enjoy being scared for fun. 😂 I prefer cute, friendly and colorful with just a touch of spooky!

Until now I’ve only made animal amigurumi patterns. I’ve been wanting to create a doll for a while! With Fall settling in, it was the perfect opportunity to create this free amigurumi witch pattern. I was inspired by some of my favorite not-so-scary sorceresses like Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus, Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Mary from Mary and the Witch’s Flower.

It’s my most complex pattern to date, but arguably one of the easiest. The only sewing you’ll have to do is attaching the limbs and embroidering the nose!

As Divine Debris suggests, “Be Witchy” because witches are scary, powerful, mysterious, and badass!
Amulet of ravenkund

One of the most notable powers attributed to the Amulet of Ravenkund is its ability to grant invisibility. It is said that when worn, the amulet allows its bearer to become completely unseen to others, making it a valuable tool for espionage and stealth. This power alone has made the amulet the target of numerous opportunistic thieves and cunning rogues throughout history. However, the amulet's powers are not without their consequences. Legends speak of a dark and insidious curse that befalls those who misuse its power or seek to wield it for evil purposes. It is said that the amulet feeds on the life force of its wearer, gradually draining their vitality and corrupting their soul. Despite the dangers associated with the amulet, its power and allure have continued to capture the imaginations of adventurers and collectors alike. Many have sought to possess it, believing that they can resist its dark influence and harness its powers for their own purposes. However, few have succeeded, and even fewer have managed to survive the journey. Today, the Amulet of Ravenkund remains a coveted artifact, sought after by those who hunger for power and knowledge. Its whereabouts are unknown, with many believing that it lies hidden in some forgotten tomb or lost to the annals of time. The tales of the amulet continue to be told, each generation adding their own embellishments and interpretations to the legend..
