Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 was a concert event that took place in Japan from September 9-11, 2016. Hatsune Miku is a virtual pop star created by Crypton Future Media using Yamaha's Vocaloid software. The Magical Mirai event showcases Hatsune Miku's music and performances as well as fan creations. The 2016 edition of Magical Mirai featured live concerts, exhibition booths, and other attractions for fans of Hatsune Miku. The concerts included performances by Hatsune Miku and other virtual singers such as Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, and Kaito. These virtual singers were projected on stage using a technology called Pepper's Ghost, creating the illusion of a live performance.
