Red Candles and Vengeance: The Role of Fire in Retribution Magick

By admin

Red candles hold a significant place in the practice of witchcraft, mainly due to their powerful symbolism and association with various magical elements. Throughout history, the color red has been linked to intense emotions, passion, energy, and transformation, making it a popular choice among practitioners. In witchcraft, red candles are commonly used to represent the element of fire. Fire is regarded as one of the essential elemental forces, embodying power and transformation. By working with red candles, witches aim to harness these energies and direct them towards their intentions and desires. The flame of a red candle is believed to carry a magical essence and serves as a conduit for manifestation and transformation.

Tap the nagic tree

The flame of a red candle is believed to carry a magical essence and serves as a conduit for manifestation and transformation. When lit, the flame represents the natural flow of energy and serves as a focal point for meditation and spellwork. It is common for witches to visualize their desires while gazing into the flame, allowing the energy of the red candle to amplify their intentions and facilitate their manifestation.

Tap the Magic Tree

Summer week madness took over, so this post is a bit late!

What We Read:

Tap the Magic Tree by Christie Matheson is an interactive picture book much like Herve Tullet’s Press Here. Readers are invited to shake an apple tree, warm up spring flowers, and bring snow. As the story goes on, the tree cycles through all four seasons, showing the unique beauty of each one. This is a cheery, bright book that was the perfect end to our plants storytime!

What We Said:

Five pretty flowers in my garden grew.
Hmm, I bet they smell pretty, too!
So, I bent down to sniff, but they tickled my nose.
Aaah-Choo! Oh no!
Away one flower blows!

“Touch Your Nose”

What We Did:

We played with our parachute! This is one of the kids’ absolute favorite things to do. We have a variety of parachute games and activities. Some of our favorites are the name switch game, where the parachute is raised and two kids run under it to trade places, and popcorn, where the parachute is shaken and soft toys are thrown on the parachute and bounced up and down.

What We Made:

Handprint trees! The kids traced their hands on brown construction paper, cut it out, and glued it to the white paper. I gave them small tissue paper scraps to roll up and glue on for leaves, flowers, and apples. Then they colored whatever other details they wanted on there.

No storytime until June 9th when summer reading storytime kicks in! Join us for lots of superhero fun!

Twenty-five years later, Magic Tree House continues to prove that it is the premier chapter book series of all time.
