The Magic of Sesame Place's Queue System: Beyond the Rides

By admin

Sesame Place Magic Queue is a new feature that has been introduced at the Sesame Place theme park in Pennsylvania. This innovative system aims to enhance the overall guest experience by minimizing wait times for popular attractions. The main idea behind the Sesame Place Magic Queue is to provide a virtual queuing system where visitors can reserve their spots in line without physically waiting in line. This allows guests to enjoy other park activities while they wait for their turn. The **Magic Queue** feature can be accessed through the Sesame Place mobile app, where visitors can create a virtual queue for each ride or attraction they wish to experience. The app also provides real-time updates on estimated wait times, allowing guests to plan their day accordingly.

I didn't see it offered, so maybe it's an add-on to a season pass as pp mentioned. We caught one line early and had no wait, but another character was loooong so we skipped it (might have been abbey). There is also a character meet/greet with pictures that's set up like a ride with a roof (yeah, shade) and formal line corals. This went quick day 1 (big bird on one side, elmo on the other). The next day, Abbey was there and it was way too long to wait. I guess she's popular. You might be better off scheduling the character lunch.

A Sesame Place Magic Queue pass gives riders access to a separate line, where riders can get to the front of the line much quicker than regular lines for select rides. The app also provides real-time updates on estimated wait times, allowing guests to plan their day accordingly. Once it is their turn to ride, guests receive a notification on their mobile device and can proceed to their designated ride without the need to stand in a physical queue. The Sesame Place Magic Queue aims to enhance guest satisfaction, reduce physical crowding, and provide a more efficient and enjoyable experience for visitors.

Slightly Off Topic: Sesame Place

Thank you everyone for all the great advice! I think we're going to do one full day and then see how it goes. If we want to go back the next day we can, or we can try to go back another day in our trip to PA. If anyone has any other suggestions I really appreciate them!

We're going in June and doing two half-days and staying over. It's a 50 mile drive, so we'll drive mid-moring, hit Sesame Place for a few hours, then the next morning before we drive home hit it again.

Long time no post. I had a question for the Sesame Place experts out there. Is the Abby's Magic Queue or Unlimited Queue worth the cost? We're going on Monday and I'm not sure if I should spend the money. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Well as of today I'd say definitely not. It has not been crowded at Sesame Place at all. Today we walked right on all the rides or just had to wait through one ride. But, this week school's are getting out so it will be getting more crowded. I guess it depends on your original question. If you are just going for one day you might want to consider it. How much is it just for a day? I've only seen it in conjunction w/ season passes.

We're going for one day (Monday) and doing the Elmo and Friends Lunch. I just don't know if we need the 'line jumping' pass.

At the time of our visit reservations were required and I was able to do that seamlessly online. I was able to choose a time slot for us to go to the water park as well. I printed out my tickets and reservations( as was required) and kept them in a safe place till the day of our visit. I do have to add that no one checked/scanned my waterpark reservation during our visit but I am glad I had it just in case!

Reviews for "The Science of Waiting: Sesame Place's Magic Queue Explained"

1. John - 1 out of 5 stars - I was extremely disappointed with the Sesame place magic queue experience. First of all, the queues were incredibly long and there was no option to purchase a fast pass or anything to skip the lines. We spent most of our day standing in lines rather than enjoying the rides and attractions. Additionally, the queue management system was disorganized and poorly executed. People were cutting in line all the time and the staff didn't seem to enforce any rules or regulations. Overall, I would not recommend the magic queue at Sesame place to anyone.
2. Lisa - 2 out of 5 stars - The concept of the magic queue at Sesame place is great, but the execution is lacking. While it did help us skip some of the lines, the waits were still quite long and we didn't feel like we were getting our money's worth. The app was also glitchy and kept crashing, which was frustrating. On top of that, the staff didn't seem well-trained on how to handle the magic queue system. Overall, I expected better from Sesame place and would not use or recommend the magic queue in the future.
3. David - 2 out of 5 stars - The magic queue at Sesame place was a major disappointment. The advertised benefits of skipping the lines were not as substantial as we had hoped. We still had to wait a significant amount of time for the rides, and it didn't feel like we were getting any special treatment. The virtual queuing system was also confusing and hard to navigate. It felt like a waste of money and didn't enhance our experience at all. I would recommend skipping the magic queue and just enjoying the regular attractions at Sesame place instead.
4. Sarah - 1 out of 5 stars - The magic queue at Sesame place was a complete letdown. It was supposed to save us time and make our visit more enjoyable, but it ended up doing the opposite. The virtual queue system was constantly malfunctioning and causing us to miss out on rides. The lines for the magic queue were also just as long, if not longer, than the regular lines. It was a frustrating experience that I would not repeat. The magic queue at Sesame place needs a lot of improvement before I would consider using it again.
