A neat story line, the white witch fell in love with the Chief Zhuo Yihang of Wudang but was separated due to a cliché that witches are evil. Other clans all over meets death at the hands of the white witch.
When the real witch Nishang follows the death trail to get to the leader, meets an blacksmith who gives her an hairpin which Yihang would have given her, leading to believe he is with the cult & needs her saving.
Chang An is an secret agent sent to investigate the killings and capture Nishang but ends up getting saved by the witch. Later he gets to know the leader of the cult is not Lian Nishang.
He slowly falls in love with her while lian Nishang pines for Yihang.
Lian with the help of Chang An start looking for the cult leader who is abusing her name.
Chang An, repairs the hairpin which is missing a ruby stud and replaces that with an emerald.
Chang An and Nishang gets to know that Chang An's senior is a double agent working for the cult leader trting to capture Nishang.
In the epic battle of good Vs evil, chang an saves Nishang and Nishang kills the cult leader.
The story ends with Nishang clipping the hairpin in her hair in the memory of Chang an.
