The Magic Trackpad is a device designed by Apple that functions as a trackpad for Mac computers. It offers users a unique and intuitive way to interact with their computers. One of the standout features of the Magic Trackpad is its spacious design. The large surface area allows for more precise and fluid movements, making it easier for users to navigate through their digital tasks. The Magic Trackpad's spacey surface is made possible by advanced touch technology. It utilizes capacitive sensors that can detect the position and movement of multiple fingers simultaneously.
We will fully and finally experience God’s blessing. And there will be no more curse (Rev. 22:3).
And instead of fighting against his enemies in order to live another day, Jesus expresses love toward his enemies and allows the curse to fall upon him. And instead of fighting against his enemies in order to live another day, Jesus expresses love toward his enemies and allows the curse to fall upon him.
It utilizes capacitive sensors that can detect the position and movement of multiple fingers simultaneously. With this technology, users can perform a variety of gestures and commands, such as scrolling, zooming, rotating, and swiping, all with simple and natural movements of their fingers. The spacious design of the Magic Trackpad also offers practical benefits.
A magic system based around Blessings & Curses with a bit of eldritch horror.
Hi! I decided to start working on this magic system to go alongside a short story anthology collection I’m working on that’s similar to some of the earlier Witcher books. The general concept of the world is that a massive floating object hangs over the world called The North Star (think of the Traveler from Destiny) and that the world has entered a warring states like period as the major world powers fight over it. There’s some eldritch horror in the world, but those are more in the deeper lore surrounding the story.
Magic System:
Blessings: The first and primary kind of magic to exist, everyone has energy that can be harnessed in some way, but through training in diligence is potential to do anything grand or combative reached. Typically, involves casting an effect. Such as a bolt of lightning or an enchantment to soothe wounds. This tends to consume inner-light sapping the user of stamina until they run out, but if you use too much will need to be under the North Star’s Light to fill back up. The eyes of the Blessed take on a golden yellow color becoming brighter as the Blessed gets stronger.
Like Curses, Blessings are primary taught and studied similarly to another other craft, although its study is most similar to medicine than anything else with complex and almost mechanical understandings of the underlying process, creating a gap between those more educated in the field and those with more of a layman’s understanding.
Curses: The second kind of power to exist. Its light corrupted by human intent and focus. A rule of thumb is that Blessings are external, while Curses are internal. A Blessing would shoot lighting while a Curse would let someone move as fast as lighting. That’s not to say both are limited to exclusively inner and outer skills. A Blessing could enchant the muscles to provide strength, and a Curse could fire a blast of energy, but they are rather crude when compared to the other. The eyes of the Cursed tend to take on a purple color that glows as the Cursed gets stronger.
Curses tend to have the combative edge over Blessings, in exchange for a general lack of support abilities. While A Blessing could use Detection to detect what's around them, a Cursed would need to enhance their senses such as hearing to do something similar. It's worth mentioning that you can not use Curses and Blessings at the same time, ad due to any delay that would happen from switching from one to the other mid-combat most tend to be mono-focused into one of the two fields. There are those that use magic for non-combat reasons that do have skills in both sides of the coin.
The Empty: The third type of power to exist is The Empty. This is not the normal state as it usually resolved around the Blessed or Cursed running out of Light and then spending a prolonged amount of time out of the North Star’s light, forever ridding themselves of the boon. This results in those with no ability o ever use Curses or Blessings ever again, but physicality far beyond normal and a resistance to Blessing and Curses. A common profession for them is as a hunter for Magic Users, although they are pretty rare due to the condition of having to stay away from the North Star’s light for an extended period of time. The fact that is based upon rejecting the North Star’s boons leads to them having a pretty bad heretical/blasphemous reputation.
Shades: The fourth type of magic is the most unusual and most rare. (only included in this because a major character is one) Hailing from the forbidden lands where The North Star’s light doesn’t reach. The gist of it is that instead of having their body control their shadow, it is the shadow that controls the body. Because the physical body is little more than a puppet, they possess far greater strength than a normal person, but it's nothing more than being able to use Hysterical Strength. Their physical abilities are below enhances strength from Blessings/Curses and certainly the Empty. This also gives them effective immortality since no physical wound can actually kill them since the body is practically a corpse already. More over, the shadow does possess some degree of ability to interact with the physical world through messing with the shadows of other objects in a limited poltergeist like fashion.
Their degree of control over their Body is limited to how strong the shadow is. At high-noon when the sun it at its zenith or under any bright light, the shadow controls the body with much greater finesse than in places with softer lights. The greatest weakness of a Shade is that a shadow is where light is blocked meaning in a completely dark room the shadow’s connection is severed, leading to the body to drop like a puppet without strings, immediately springing back to life when light is reintroduced. The only way to harm them is by attacking the shadow, however due to the unorthodox nature of aiming for another’s shadow it is easier said than done.
Because this comes from mutating the soul from unnatural forces outside the North Star's influence, Shades tend to be very weird, usually manifesting in unusual mannerisms such as bizarre methods of speech. Some filter their words through elaborate musical metaphors, others use abbreviations that are unheard of, and some only soliloquize. Shades, by their very nature, are no longer human and could be considered a class of monster with their own unique style of magic like Vampire’s or Lycanthropes.
Then, as Jesus begins his ministry, we start seeing a reversal of the curse. Where there are broken bodies, Jesus heals and restores life. Where there is greed, Jesus encourages his followers to be generous, inviting them to deny the curse and live in the blessing. Where there is hatred for enemies, Jesus teaches us to love, to pray—to bless instead of curse. Pockets of blessing begin to push back on the darkness, breaking through the curse.
Users have more room to rest their hands comfortably and can easily control the cursor without feeling cramped or restricted. This not only enhances user comfort but also reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries associated with prolonged computer use. In addition to its physical advantages, the Magic Trackpad's spacey surface also opens up new possibilities for creative and productivity applications. For artists and designers, the large surface area allows for more precise and detailed drawings or illustrations. For video editors and musicians, the additional space provides a greater range of control and precision when editing or composing. Overall, the Magic Trackpad's spacious design is a significant feature that sets it apart from traditional trackpads. Its advanced touch technology and comfortable usability make it an excellent accessory for Mac users, enhancing their productivity and creativity in various digital tasks..
