Last weekend, the Berea Fairgrounds transformed into a magical wonderland as it played host to a stunning display of lights and art installations. The event, aptly named "Magical Glow," captivated visitors of all ages with its enchanting ambiance and mesmerizing glow. As darkness fell, the fairgrounds came alive with an array of vibrant colors and dazzling lights. Everywhere you looked, there was something new and captivating to discover. Various art installations adorned the grounds, each one more breathtaking than the last. From intricate light sculptures to glowing pathways, every corner seemed to hold a hidden surprise.

The 2013 list (not counting the many graphic novels and manga I read this year as well):

The Sight Seer by Melissa Giorgio I m cheating here, ha; I read this in 2011 before she even queried it, not this year that it came out, but this year I DID read the sequel as a beta reader, so I did read a book by her and it counts toward my XD. They also take up less space, obviously, and although I still prefer paper copies, I m trying to cut back on the books I own since I have so many already.

From intricate light sculptures to glowing pathways, every corner seemed to hold a hidden surprise. One of the highlights of Magical Glow was the illuminated garden. Rows of meticulously shaped bushes and flowers were adorned with soft, glowing lights, creating a whimsical atmosphere that transported visitors to another world.

Magical glow at berea fairgrounds

Walking through this garden felt like stepping into a fairytale, with glowing plants seemingly coming to life with each step. Another standout feature was the light tunnel. This breathtaking creation consisted of thousands of twinkling lights arranged in a tunnel-like structure. As visitors walked through, they were enveloped in a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns, creating a truly magical experience. Throughout the fairgrounds, local artists showcased their talents through light installations and interactive exhibits. One such exhibit allowed visitors to control the colors and patterns of a large, illuminated sculpture by moving their bodies. It was a unique and engaging way to interact with art, leaving participants feeling both amazed and empowered. In addition to the visual spectacle, Magical Glow also offered a variety of entertainment options. Live music performances filled the air with joyful melodies, while food stalls catered to hungry attendees with their mouthwatering delicacies. Families enjoyed carnival rides and games, adding an element of excitement to the already magical atmosphere. Overall, the Magical Glow event at Berea Fairgrounds proved to be a truly enchanting experience. With its captivating light displays, interactive art installations, and lively entertainment, it was a celebration of creativity and imagination. Whether young or old, visitors couldn't help but be dazzled by the magical glow that illuminated the fairgrounds and left them with memories to last a lifetime..
