This is a brief message giving you an epilogue of that character’s story. If you did not give your Merc Whistle to anyone, the bonus message will be from Shez instead.

If you completed the game without giving anyone your Merc Whistle, you can continue your save file. It will reload you to the camp right before the final battle.
