Magic-Kyun! Renaissance is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise and Warner Entertainment Japan. It is based on a multimedia project, which includes a video game, a novel series, and a manga series. The anime first aired in October 2016 and became popular among fans of the magical genre. The story is set in a world where art and magic coexist. It follows the protagonist, Kohana Aigasaki, a young girl who enters Hoshinomori Magical Arts High School, a prestigious school known for its talented students in both art and magic. Kohana comes from a family of traditional Japanese sweets makers and has always had a passion for creating beautiful confections.

The Last Witch Hunter isn't out yet, but Vin Diesel might just have another sequel - after Fast & Furious 8 - to add to his schedule.

As if Vin Diesel didn't have enough franchises to juggle already. He's already got, in various stages of production, the likes of Fast & Furious 8, xXx 3 and Riddick 4 to slot in. And now it seems as though plans are already afoot for a sequel to his next film, The Last Witch Hunter.

In The Last Witch Hunter, Diesel plays Kaulder, a warrior who, well, slays witches. He manages to defeat the powerful Queen Witch, but just before she dies, she puts a curse of immortality on Kaulder. Move forward to today, and separated from his family, Kaulder has spent centuries hunting down witches. Inevitably, there's a sizeable challenge ahead of him in the movie.

Promisingly, The Last Witch Hunter has been directed by Breck Eisner.

Vin Diesel teases Last Witch Hunter 2… for some reason

Earlier today we passed along word that Vin Diesel is ready to roll once again as Riddick in David Twohy's RIDDICK 4: FURYA. And now we're passing along word that Diesel is teasing a sequel to Breck Eisner's THE LAST WITCH HUNTER with Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie, & Michael Caine.

Not sure why he'd bother. But still.

Regarding THE LAST WITCH HUNTER 2 Diesel writes:

Before entering the next character and film project… so much to be excited about… Fast continuation, Xander Cage, Riddick… Groot. Not to mention the possibilities of Witch Hunter and the follow up to Bloodshot.

Again, I'm not sure why Diesel is teasing more WITCH HUNTER as the original film only holds a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: "Grim, plodding, and an overall ill fit for Vin Diesel's particular charms, The Last Witch Hunter will bore and/or confuse all but the least demanding action-fantasy fans." The modern world holds many secrets, the most astounding being that witches still live among us. Centuries ago, Kaulder (Vin Diesel) managed to slay the all-powerful Witch Queen, decimating her followers in the process. Her resurrection now threatens the survival of the human race as Kaulder, the only one of his kind remaining, faces her vengeful wrath.

It’s a solid movie and I look forward to the sequel. You’ve gotta know what your getting into, it’s no titanic or saving private ryan, just a solid action movie.

I really liked this film and would like to see its world explored more. Unfortunately I never even heard of it until several years after its release. Perhaps it poor box office performance was more down to crappy marketing…?

Loved this film. Again to reiterate others, this is a go to film watched time and again. Why do the big companies claim there are no good stories for films. But they keep rebooting old films. Everyone I’ve talked to and people coming out of the cinema when I went to see this, all were saying they couldn’t wait for the sequel .
It’s 2019 and still would go to see this or no 2.
And hey, it’s not the “Vin Diesel” thing either.

I loved and enjoyed watching “The last witch hunter”. It was such an amazing movie, I can’t wait for part 2. even now, I just watched it with my family. Please make a sequel

I liked this movie and judging by the comencom I’m not the only one. They should do a sequel without Vin Diesel, outside of the Fast and Furious movies that guy is box office poison.

They should definitely make a sequel. My husband and myself have watched and enjoyed the first one several times. We and most of our friends wait for the dvd’s to come out to see most movies, (we all feel going out to the movies are a waste of money when we will be able to own it for less than the cost of two tickets within two months)and we dont know anyone who’s seen this movie who didnt enjoy it.

Family, friends, and myself have all watched the movie. We loved it, they are baking off from theater sales when many people just wait til it comes to DVD. US citizens are well known for doing this, so you can’t just count on those figures alone.

Magic kyun renaisswnce was a huge disappointment for me. The storyline was confusing and lacked depth, and the characters were one-dimensional and uninteresting. I found it hard to connect with any of them or care about their journeys. The animation was average at best, with little attention to detail. Overall, the show felt rushed and poorly executed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful or enjoyable anime experience.

2) Alex - 1 star

This anime was a waste of time. The plot was convoluted and didn't make much sense. The characters were uninspiring and their interactions felt forced. The music, which is supposed to be a major aspect of the show, was forgettable and didn't enhance the viewing experience in any way. The animation, while colorful, lacked consistency and quality. This anime simply didn't live up to its promises and left me feeling disappointed and disengaged.

3) Emily - 2 stars

Magic kyun renaisswnce had potential but failed to deliver. The concept of a school for magic and arts seemed intriguing, but the execution fell short. The story was predictable and lacked any real excitement or surprises. The characters were bland and lacked development. The animation was decent, but it couldn't make up for the lackluster plot. Overall, the anime felt like a missed opportunity to create something truly captivating and unique. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except die-hard fans of the genre who are desperate for new content.
