Live Review: PREMIERE: Sammy Bananas gets us ready for summer with his new remix of Luke Million

Tastemaker label etcetc is celebrating a huge year with the next instalment of their Yearbook series, including a new remix of a Luke Million favourite.

Whether you like it or not, 2017 is just about over. Complete with everyone exclaiming that this year has "absolutely flown by" (like every year), some folks are opting to look back and revel in their successes rather than scratching their heads wondering where the time has gone. One such crew is etcetc, who have had a banner year in 2017. With their roster consisting of PACES, KILTER, AIRWOLF, LUKE MILLION and, of course, the mighty PNAU plus more all kicking goal after goal, it makes sense that they finish up this year in true style - with their annual yearbook to celebrate the year that was.

Featuring some of the year’s standout releases, unsung heroes, and six special exclusive tracks from the likes of Kilter, Paces, Luke Million, Airwolf and POOLCLVB, the 2017 Yearbook is out tomorrow, but we have a sneak peek for you right here with a special remix of Luke Millon's bop, 'Alive' featuring FLUIR, courtesy of the one and only SAMMY BANANAS.

What was an absolute jam (who could expect anything else from Luke Million) with an utterly addictive groove has now been turned into a sunny tune with a lot of funk heaped on for good measure. Coming at the absolute perfect time before summer really kicks into gear, Bananas has worked his magic over Million's original to make something that stands on it's own as the perfect pairing with the original. Honestly, when it comes to summer jams, two is always better than one. Bananas said of the remix, "The original version of 'Alive' already has a great groove, but I decided to slow it down and funk it out to make a remix that's a bit more sunny and breezy. I'm excited for this one to drop, I've been having a great response when I play it out!"

A gift that truly keeps on giving, etcetc's 2017 Yearbook is out tomorrow everywhere, with some unreleased gems mixed in with some of the label's best releases. If this year is anything at all to go by, things are only going to get bigger and better for one of Australia's premier tastemaker labels, so keep your eyes peeled for their next big moves!

Reviews for "The Rise of Mazter Bxrber: How he Became a Magician Extraordinaire"

1. Emma - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Magic by mazter bxrber". The tricks were basic card tricks that I've seen a hundred times before. The show lacked originality and creativity. The performer's delivery was also underwhelming, with a lack of showmanship and charisma. Overall, I felt like I wasted my time and money on a mediocre magic show.
2. John - 1 star - "Magic by mazter bxrber" was a complete letdown. The tricks were amateurish and poorly executed. I could easily predict how most of them were done, which took away any sense of wonder or amazement. The performer also seemed disinterested and unengaging with the audience. It felt like he was just going through the motions without any passion or dedication. I would not recommend this show to anyone looking for a truly magical experience.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I attended "Magic by mazter bxrber" with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The tricks were repetitive and lacked variety. The magician seemed more focused on showing off rather than engaging with the audience. Additionally, the pacing of the show was off, with awkward pauses and transitions. It felt disjointed and poorly put together. I left feeling unsatisfied and unimpressed with the overall performance.
4. Mark - 1 star - I had high expectations for "Magic by mazter bxrber" but was sorely disappointed. The tricks performed were unimpressive and seemed outdated. The magician lacked stage presence and failed to connect with the audience. It felt like a cheap and unprofessional production. I would not recommend wasting your time or money on this show. There are plenty of other talented magicians out there who offer a much more captivating and entertaining experience.
5. Lisa - 3 stars - "Magic by mazter bxrber" had its moments, but overall, it didn't live up to the hype. The tricks were average, and many of them felt predictable. However, I appreciated the performer's enthusiasm and attempts to engage with the audience. The show had potential, but it lacked the wow factor that I was expecting. I wouldn't completely dismiss it, but I also wouldn't highly recommend it.
