Brand new to the PLAYMOBIL lineup are the Magical Mermaids sets, the crowning centerpiece being the PLAYMOBIL Mermaid Cove with Illuminated Dome. We had the opportunity to check out this new set and, needless to say, it is going to make a great addition to our other sets.
What’s in the Box
This set comes with: five figures, five collectible pearls, two dolphins, fish, seahorses, coral, algae scoops, and lots of other accessories. You will need to add 3 AAA batteries for the dome piece.
Putting it Together
This set is recommended for ages 4+ and the younger crowd will need some help with assembly. Lucky for me, my 11 year old (and honestly my 6 year old isn’t that far behind) can put these intricate sets together entirely on their own.
My kids got to work with the basic assembly and within the hour, they had the entire set built and ready for playtime.
There were lots of exclamations coming from the kitchen over how fun and colorful the mermaid figures are. The dolphins were a huge hit!
Playtime with Mermaids, Dolphins, and the Pearl Track
Okay, this set is a LOT of fun! The mermaids and dolphins can all stand on their own. The pearls can be collected and dropped down the pearl track, all while the dome changes colors. The kids love it and the details are fantastic.

1. Jessica - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the "It's a wig magic" product. The wig was advertised as being natural-looking and easy to style, but when I received it, it looked very fake and the synthetic hair was shiny and stiff. The color was also completely different from what was shown in the picture. Overall, I found the quality to be poor especially considering the price. I ended up returning it and purchasing a different wig from a different brand.
2. Michael - 1/5 stars - I can't believe how terrible the "It's a wig magic" turned out to be. The hair was so thin and sparse, it looked like a cheap Halloween costume wig. I tried styling and brushing it, but it just continued to look tangled and messy. The parting space was also unrealistic and it was obvious that it was a wig. I've purchased wigs before and this was by far the worst quality one I've ever encountered. Save your money and look elsewhere!
3. Sarah - 2/5 stars - The "It's a wig magic" was a huge disappointment. The cap size was way too big and even after adjusting the straps, it still felt loose and uncomfortable. The hair fibers were also prone to tangling and shedding. I tried to style it, but the hair looked so fake and stiff, it was impossible to make it look natural. I regret my purchase and would not recommend this wig to anyone looking for a realistic and comfortable option.
