Sesame Sway Magical Halloween Adventure: In the bustling town of Willowbrook, Halloween is always a highly anticipated event. Children and adults alike excitedly prepare their costumes and decorations as they eagerly await the arrival of the spookiest night of the year. But this year, something extraordinary is about to happen in Willowbrook – an adventure that will take the town by storm. Sesame Sway, a curious and imaginative young girl with a love for all things magical, is the protagonist of our story. Ever since she can remember, she has been enchanted by the mysteries and wonders that Halloween brings. With her trusty imaginary friend, Whisp, by her side, Sesame sets out on a thrilling journey to uncover the secrets of Halloween that no one else knows.

Meet the OU Sooner's official mascots, Boomer and Sooner

Sooner fans know Boomer, Sooner, and the Sooner Schooner are the official mascot of the University of Oklahoma. But if you think they live down in Norman near the university, you'd be wrong. News on 6 reporter Rick Wells went to an un-disclosed location near Sapulpa to find the real story.

“The biggest thing is they are so small that's the biggest comment." Bill Warden is the caretaker for Boomer and Sooner, the white Shetlands that pull the Sooner Schooner.

This tradition started on a trial basis back in the early 60's. "It was so popular, and worked so well. In 1964 the University officially adopted them as the official mascot." This is the fourth white Shetland team to pull the schooner. Boomer is an Albino, with white eyes and pink skin.

Boomer’s brother is also an albino, he's kind of a spare, but he's not on the traveling squad. "They get fed twice a day in the winter time and once a day in the summer time."

Life is pretty good, game day routine is their least favorite part. They have to take an early bath. "It's a special shampoo and a special crème rinse conditioner." That helps the white look whiter. He also trims and paints their hooves on game day.

Then it's into their special trailer and off they go on the 2-hour plus trip to Norman. The schooners in there with 'em. He takes care of that too. It gets washed and polished. In the meantime it's just checking on the boys a couple of times a day, make sure they're not hungry and that they get a little exercise, just in case this year the Sooner touchdowns come early and often. They're hoping to have to do alot of running.

Boomer and Sooner and the Sooner Schooner travel to all home games, the OU-Texas game, the Big 12 Championship and to all bowl games.

With her trusty imaginary friend, Whisp, by her side, Sesame sets out on a thrilling journey to uncover the secrets of Halloween that no one else knows. As the sun sets on Halloween night, Sesame and Whisp find themselves outside the old, abandoned house at the end of Willow Street. Rumors have it that this house holds a hidden portal to a world filled with magic and enchantment, known as the Hollowood.

Oklahoma football: The Sooner Schooner story

Everyone who follows Oklahoma football, and even fans nationally, are familiar with the iconic Sooner Schooner.

It’s a one of a kind, as far as official mascots go, and is easily identifiable with Oklahoma football. But what is the Sooner Schooner story and what is its origin?

The conestoga wagon powered by two white ponies was introduced during the 1964 football season and since then has made thousands of trips across Owen Field in celebration of Oklahoma scoring drives. The iconic mascot is designed as a scaled-down replica of the Studebaker Conestoga wagon used by settlers of the Oklahoma territory during the time of the Oklahoma Land Run in the late 1800s.

The Sooner Schooner name is derived from the term “prairie schooners,” the common term used to describe the wagons of the settlers who snuck into the territory before it was officially opened for settlement. The settlers who jumped the gun during the Land Run and went early were known as “Sooners.”

The Schooner is led by two white ponies, appropriately named “Boomer” and “Sooner.” The ponies are kept at the Bartlett Ranch in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

The Sooner Schooner is maintained and driven by members of the RUF NEKS and the RUF NEKs Lil’ Sis, the university’s all-male and all-female spirit squads, respectively.

Over the years, the Sooner Schooner has been involved in several memorable incidents.

Determined to prove the legends true, Sesame must find the key that will unlock this portal and allow her to embark on a magical Halloween adventure. In search of the key, Sesame and Whisp venture deep into the woods surrounding Willowbrook. Guided by the soft glow of fireflies and the distant sounds of eerie music, they stumble upon a hidden clearing. Within the clearing stands a grandiose oak tree, with its branches stretching towards the sky. Sensing an otherworldly presence, Sesame approaches the tree and discovers a mysterious riddle carved into its trunk. With her clever wit and determination, Sesame deciphers the riddle, revealing the location of the key – the Moonlight Grove. This mystical grove is said to only appear on Halloween night, bathed in the glow of the full moon. With this newfound information, Sesame and Whisp embark on a race against time to reach the Moonlight Grove before it disappears for another year. Through dark forests, treacherous swamps, and ghostly graveyards, Sesame and Whisp journey towards their destination. Along the way, they encounter a plethora of magical creatures – friendly witches, mischievous fairies, and wise talking owls, all offering their assistance in their quest. Finally reaching the Moonlight Grove, Sesame spots a radiant golden key perched atop a pedestal in the center of the grove. As she reaches out to grab it, the key shimmers and transforms into a beautifully carved pumpkin. This, she realizes, is no ordinary key, but the key to unlocking the true magic and spirit of Halloween. With the enchanted pumpkin in hand, Sesame and Whisp rush back to the abandoned house, eager to unlock the portal and discover the Hollowood. As they insert the pumpkin into the keyhole, the door creaks open, revealing a dazzling world of colors, lights, and unimaginable wonders. Inside the Hollowood, Sesame and Whisp are greeted by a cheerful Halloween parade, where mythical creatures, ghosts, and ghouls dance to a haunting melody. Sesame's heart fills with joy as she realizes that Halloween is truly a magical time, and that the Hollowood exists to celebrate this enchantment. As the night draws to a close, Sesame reluctantly says her goodbyes to the Hollowood, promising to return next Halloween. With the knowledge and memories of her incredible adventure, Sesame returns to Willowbrook, glowing with a newfound appreciation for the magic that lies within Halloween. And so, Willowbrook forever carries the legend of Sesame Sway, the girl who unlocked the secrets of Halloween and embarked on a magical adventure into the Hollowood. Every year, her tale is passed down from one generation to the next, reminding everyone in Willowbrook that the spirit of Halloween is real, and that magic can be found in the most unexpected places..
