The prejudice element actually isn't the focus of the book, I should note. The majority of the book is a story about a prophecy, a Chosen One, whether the Chosen One prophecy is made up, as well as a young woman coming into her own with her magical abilities. It's stuff that I've seen before but is handled well enough. Indeed, if not for the fact it dealt extensively with overcoming prejudice, it would be a fairly typical urban fantasy novel. The fact it did, however, is a point in its favor rather than against it. At least in my humble opinion.
This method is used to gain information about a person's future and make predictions. Divination can also take the form of scrying, which involves gazing into a reflective surface, such as a crystal ball or a mirror, to gain insight or see visions. Runes, which are ancient alphabets, can also be used for divination purposes. Each rune symbolizes a different concept or idea, and their arrangement can be interpreted to gain answers and guidance. Different cultures have their own unique forms of divination as well. For example, the I Ching, which originated in ancient China, involves the tossing of coins or yarrow sticks to generate hexagrams that are then interpreted to provide guidance and insight. Overall, divination can take on many different forms, but its goal remains the same: to seek knowledge about the future or unknown. Whether through the stars, cards, numbers, or other means, divination continues to fascinate and intrigue people from all walks of life..
