Disney Debuts Super Bowl LVII Commercial Celebrating 100 Years of Storytelling and Shared Memories
The Walt Disney Company marks its 100th anniversary on October 16, 2023, and throughout the year, will celebrate the fans and storytellers who have sparked the joy and magic that is Disney over the last 100 years. Today, Disney honors those fans and creators with a special commercial debuting during Super Bowl LVII that spotlights 100 years of unrivaled storytelling and innovation.

The debut of “Disney100 Special Look” during the big game is an exciting milestone for Disney—with a year full of opportunities for fans and families of all ages to relive their most beloved Disney memories and to delight in new, heartwarming stories and experiences. On Friday, February 17, the newest Marvel Studios film, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, will debut in theaters. Then, on Saturday, February 18, Disney100: The Exhibition will have its world premiere at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, inviting guests into a 15,000-square-foot, 10-gallery exhibit that will bring Disney stories to life through innovative and immersive technology. The Walt Disney Archives is opening its vault of treasures, showcasing more than 250 of its “Crown Jewels”—rarely seen original artwork and artifacts, costumes and props, theme park attraction vehicles, and more. The exhibition will also make stops across the United States and throughout Europe.
Global audiences can enjoy an amazing slate of theatrical releases from our renowned studios, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and more, coming through the rest of the year. From The Little Mermaid and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in May, to Elemental, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, The Marvels, and The Haunted Mansion this summer, both long-beloved characters and new stories will come to life on the big screen. Then, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, Walt Disney Animation Studios will debut Wish, an original animated musical film only in theaters.

On Friday, January 27, Disneyland Resort introduced the new Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction; two new nighttime spectaculars: World of Color – One at Disney California Adventure Park and Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park; and all-new, limited-time Disney100-themed entertainment, food and beverage, and merchandise offerings. Prior to having children, my husband and I had each been to Disneyland a handful of times. A family trip or two when we were kids, quick one-day trips with friends during our college years, and a couple visits together as adults. Somewhat typical for anyone who grows up or lives near Southern California. We’d visited enough to become familiar with the park layout, ride most of the rides, and thoroughly enjoy the experience.
From classics like It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean to newer attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, there is something for everyone. The adrenaline rush of zooming through space on Space Mountain or the exhilaration of soaring above London on Peter Pan's Flight is unmatched. The attention to detail in each ride is truly remarkable, with every inch of the park meticulously designed to immerse visitors in its fictional worlds. Beyond the characters and rides, there are countless other delights to be found in Disneyland. The parades and fireworks displays are a feast for the eyes, with vibrant costumes, catchy tunes, and awe-inspiring pyrotechnics. And let's not forget about the food – from churros and popcorn to Dole Whip and Mickey-shaped treats, there is no shortage of delicious snacks to indulge in. 1. John - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with my experience at Disneyland. The lines for every ride were ridiculously long, and most of the attractions were outdated and not worth the wait. The food options were subpar and overpriced, and the staff seemed generally disinterested and unhelpful. The whole park felt overcrowded and chaotic, and I didn't feel like I got the magical experience that Disneyland is known for. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to others.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I had high expectations for Disneyland, but unfortunately, it fell short in every aspect. The park was extremely crowded, which made it difficult to enjoy any of the attractions. The lines were incredibly long, and even with a FastPass, we didn't get to experience half of what we wanted to. The food options were limited, overpriced, and not very tasty. Additionally, the staff seemed overwhelmed and were not able to provide the level of service I expected. Overall, Disneyland was a major letdown, and I wouldn't waste my money on it again.
3. Emily - 2/5 - I had heard so many great things about Disneyland, but my visit was far from magical. The park was crowded and noisy, making it difficult to fully immerse myself in the experience. The attractions were mostly geared towards young children, so as an adult, I didn't find much entertainment value. The long lines and wait times for rides were frustrating, and the food options were expensive and lacking in quality. I left the park feeling underwhelmed and disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a truly enchanting experience.
