In the realm of entertainment and imagination, magic has always held a special place. It captivates our attention, sparks our curiosity, and gives us a glimpse into a world beyond our own. But what if there was a way to make magic even more captivating? Enter "Current More Magic", a revolutionary concept that aims to take magic to new heights. Traditionally, magic tricks have relied on slight of hand, misdirection, and cleverly designed props to create illusions that seem impossible to the human eye. However, with the advancements in technology and the ever-evolving field of science, it is now possible to enhance these illusions even further. "Current More Magic" proposes the use of electricity and current to add an extra layer of astonishment to magic tricks.
When the items is worn, it not only allows the witch to link to the natural power of the items in the talisman, harness the power they have imbued the talisman with but also serves as a focal point in keeping the witch on task throughout the time the talismans is worn. Often times, just the act of wearing a talisman will help a witch to remember to focus on the purpose of the talisman throughout the day while attached to them. They will often touch the item, feel it moving about, and focus on it, which helps to reinforce the magickal intent of the talisman. As they touch it, feel it moving about, they remember the focus of the magick and their focus narrows to the intent, which causes the intent to become stronger each time they refocus. The talisman helps access the law of attraction when a witch focuses on the intent, which helps to attract the very thing the intent was created to bring into fruition
The power in the creation of magical charms comes from the calling on and combining of natural energies - the powers of the natural world, your own personal power, and cosmic powers. After building it to the witch s satisfaction, it needs to be charged as a completed whole and consecrated to the purpose or intent for which it was created.
"Current More Magic" proposes the use of electricity and current to add an extra layer of astonishment to magic tricks. By incorporating electricity into the performance, magicians can create even more mind-boggling illusions that seem to defy the laws of physics. One example of how "Current More Magic" can be implemented is through the use of electrostatics.
Tips for creating a personalized talisman
I love a fresh start. I'm well rested after the hustle of the holidays and ready for everything that the new year can bring.
I've decided to take on a few new challenges this year - one being participating in the Year of Jewelry (YOJ). This is a personal challenge to create one piece of jewelry, every week, for a year. I've tried before, but never completed the challenge. I know this is the year!
With a little luck
Every week, the YOJ provides an optional theme to jump start your creativity.
This week, the challenge is to make a personal talisman, something to represent what you hope to achieve, or some symbol of strength and creativity for you to wear as you move through the year.
And a prayer
I chose to make contemporary handheld prayer beads inspired by a project by Eleanor Wiley in the book Beading for the Soul (pg.87).
Handheld prayer beads are meant to be kept close to remind you of a personal journey, a goal or to maintain your focus.
Hop to it
The amulet I chose is a carved stone frog. I'm not sure what the stone is, but the symbolism of the frog is what I was after.
The frog is a symbol of transition and transformation and because it lives in and near water, it has a cleansing attribute.
Wash me down, I'm ready to change!
But, all jokes aside, I expect this to be year of exciting changes and challenges in my jewelry making journey.
Don't knock it
The amulet and assorted beads are strung on 2mm waxed cotton cord and sized to fit comfortably in the palm of my hand.
I started with about 14 inches of cord - and the finished prayer beads are 5.5 inches long from the tip of the frog to the end of the knot. I had to trim the ends of the cord frequently to make them easy to string through the beads.
I chose wood beads to give me the opportunity to knock on wood - both for luck and to ward off negative energy.
The saucer beads on the end are silver coated ceramic beads from Greece. They make a soothing tinkle sound when they touch. All of the beads are loosely strung so they can be fingered as you would with typical mala prayer beads.
The knots are standard overhand knots - using two cords at the top of the prayer bead strand and only one for the silver beads.

I was really disappointed with "Currh more magic". As a fan of the first book, I was expecting more enchantment and excitement in the sequel, but it fell completely flat for me. The plot was weak, with predictable twists and turns that didn't add any depth to the story. The characters felt one-dimensional, lacking any growth or development, and their interactions felt forced and unnatural. Overall, it felt like the author rushed to release this book without putting much thought or effort into it.

I couldn't even finish "Currh more magic" because it was so poorly written. The grammar and spelling mistakes were abundant, and it was distracting to read. It's a shame, because I had high hopes for this book after enjoying the first one, but it was a major letdown.
