Controllers of spells are individuals who have the power and ability to manipulate and control various aspects of spellcasting. They possess a deep understanding of the mystical forces at work in spellcasting and can bend them to their will. These controllers can be found in various magical traditions and practices, such as witchcraft, sorcery, and wizardry. In witchcraft, a controller of spells is typically known as a witch. Hi,
i would like to know if the controller works the same way as in Magicka 1 for spells,
you had to move the right stick in one direction to open a set of 2 elements, hold it, then move it in another direction to select the element you wanted, it was very slow and clunky :/
Is it the same in Magicka 2 ?
thank you

Nope, the system is completely different.

The elements are bound to the four buttons of your controller (X, Y, A, B) and you cycle through them by holding the LB (four buttons x2 cycles = eight elements)

Still it's easier with a keyboard but it's a lot better than the controls of magicka 1!

"Snappier", as in dumbed down.

Just thought I'd clarify that for those who actually liked the rewarding, fighting game input -like mechanics of the first game. 👍

It was pretty cool to be able to conjure spells with the controller, and it was not too bad when you got (quite some) practice with it. I guess you could call it "dumped down", if you love the effort of casting the spells the old controller way.

Magicka 1 controller setup:
here i say CC to mean 1 quarter counter clockwise turn with the right stick
here i say R to mean move the right stick to the right

Magicka 2 controller setup:
Hold Left shoulderbutton and press BBBBB

Magicka mouse + keyboard controlls:
RRRRR

Controllers of spells

They tap into the energies within themselves and the world around them to create powerful magical effects. Sorcerers often have innate magical abilities and do not require the use of external tools or rituals to cast spells. In the realm of wizardry, controllers of spells are known as wizards or mages. Wizards are highly knowledgeable in the arcane arts and have spent years mastering the principles of spellcasting. They often rely on ancient tomes and grimoires to learn and perform spells. Wizards follow strict rules and rituals to channel their magical energies, and their spells are often precise and calculated. Controllers of spells can also be found in other mystical practices, such as shamanism and voodoo. Shamans are spiritual healers and guides who possess the ability to communicate with the spirit world. They use their connection with spirits to cast spells for healing and protection. Voodoo practitioners, on the other hand, work with various deities and spirits to perform spells and rituals for a range of purposes, including love, luck, and revenge. Ultimately, controllers of spells are individuals who have mastered the art of spellcasting and can manipulate the mystical forces at work in the world. They use their knowledge, skills, and connection to the supernatural to create powerful and transformative effects. Whether it be witches, sorcerers, wizards, shamans, or voodoo practitioners, these individuals wield incredible power and shape the world around them through their spellcasting abilities..
