Few weeks ago , I've just post about April Skin Magic Snow Cushion, it's my favourite cushion in term of coverage and finish. Recently they've come out with version 2.0. I'm excited about this product and have currently used it for about 2 weeks!
SPF 50 + / PA +++ "Anti-Aging , Sunblock , Whitening" - 3 in 1 cushion Packaging :April Skin focus on gold and black on their version 2.0. Unlike the previous packaging of mono color black & while , I prefer this new packaging. It look sleek and chic.
The black carries a matte texture with slight shimmery look. A reflective gold font of "April Skin" printed on top.
Flip puff holder can either rest at 45 degree or 135 degree. Applicator/Application :The packaging focus more on black that they provide a black cushion puff as well! Simply dab the cushion puff onto the cushion to get the product and pat it across your face evenly.
The puff has smooth and soft texture but it's not as soft as the previous version.Unlike other cushion i own , i like how April Skin create their puff holder with air tight function. I would always hear the "click" sound whenever i close the lid. My innisfree cushion lid do not have such properties, in fact it get lose after using it a few months :/
With every new product , they are sealed to prevent the cushion from drying out.AprilSkin adapt the Mochi cushion concept where it's easier for your puff to get the product without dirtying the surrounding of the case.

I really like the improved formula that it's not as sticky as the previous version, this new formula has 42% water base property that it allow the cushion to sit more evenly and naturally on the skin minimising the sticky finish.
It contain 3 main active ingredients - Blueberry Extract , Mineral Water and Aloe Vera Extract. Comparison with previous version> More alluring packaging, since i am a fan of gold and black, I fall deeply in love with the new packaging!
> 2.0 is smaller which means the refill are not compatible for the old version > 2.0 puff holder are not able to stay at any position i want it to be> 2.0 has better oil control properties but it does not whiten the skin as much as the previous version
> I feel that the older version did a better coverage than 2.0 but fortunately , this is buildable and it does not cause any cakiness after building it so i can build the coverage to any amount i wish for.

+ It's buildable and when i reapply, it does not cake up my skin+ It smell really good! It has a light powdery and floral scent that does not linger on your skin after application.
+/- It brighten up my skin though not as fair as the previous cushion
-After the foundation sat on my skin for 4 hours, I would need to touch up or use loose powder to control the oil around my nose area and the brightening effect has subsided.
Note : I've oily, acne prone skin and i am blessed(not) with hot humid weather, I tried on april skin under such environment and provide reviews on how it works on my skin.
I definitely recommend this cushion to anyone who have the problem of scarring like me, looking for great coverage and slight dewy finish that does not cake up your skin.
In terms of oil control, maybe it depends on individual (eg: the primer you use , or if you stay in air-condition room most of the time) but i would say that 2.0 work better in providing matte finish compared with the older version.
