The characters were also quite one-dimensional and lacked depth, making it hard for me to connect with them. Additionally, the writing style felt very amateurish and unpolished, which took away from my enjoyment of the book. Overall, I was left feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied by this novel.
2. Olivia - 1 star - "Amulet of the journey" was a complete waste of my time. The pacing was extremely slow, and it took far too long for anything remotely interesting to happen. The dialogue was also incredibly wooden and unrealistic, making it difficult for me to engage with the story. Furthermore, the world-building was lackluster and failed to captivate my imagination. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for an exciting or engaging read.
