The Alarming Rise of Malicious Witchcraft in Modern Society

By admin

The concept of witchcraft has been a longstanding part of human history, with various cultures and societies attributing supernatural powers to individuals who practice it. While witchcraft is often associated with healing or benevolence, there are instances where it can take a malicious turn. Malicious witchcraft refers to the use of dark arts and spells with the intention to harm others. In many societies, witches or those practicing witchcraft were feared and considered dangerous. They were believed to possess the ability to inflict harm upon others, cast spells, and even manipulate the forces of nature. The malicious nature of witchcraft lies in the deliberate intent to cause injury, suffering, or misfortune upon others.

How to work out your skin tone:

It's best to do this wearing no make up - wait 30 mins after washing your face as any scrubbed skin may appear pink and give a false reading.

Hold a white piece of paper up to your face.

Looking in a mirror, try to see how your skin looks in contrast to the white paper. It may appear to have a yellow cast, a blue-red or rosy cast, or it may not appear to be either, but a grey colour instead. What colour does you skin appear at the side of the paper?

  • Yellowish or sallow beside the white paper, you have a warm skin tone.
  • Pink, rosy, or blueish-red, then you have a cool skin tone.
  • Grey, your skin probably has an olive complexion with a neutral undertone. The green from your complexion and the yellowish undertone combines to create this effect. You can experiment with neutral and warm tones, since you fall somewhere in between.
  • If you can't determine any cast of yellow, olive, or pink, you have a neutral skin tone. Neutral tones can look good in foundations and colours on both ends of the cool/warm spectrum.

Another way to do this is to look at what colour jewellery you wear.

  • If you suit gold you more than likely have a warm skin tone.
  • If you suit silver you more than likely have a cool skin tone.
  • If you can wear both colour you more than likely have a neutral undertone.

Storybook Cosmetics Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette | Review

A full makeup line of products inspired by our favorite stories? Now that is a major dream come true for me! I’m a huge bookworm so when I saw Storybook Cosmetics announce they had big plans with collabs and products, I constantly stalked their Instagram account. They first launched a set of wand shaped makeup brushes which I was lucky to grab in the first release. Then they announced they were working on this palette that I’m about to review for you all! I was so happy to preorder and although shipping commenced a few months after preordered, it was well worth the wait!

About the Brand

Storybook Cosmetics was created by three sisters – they’re triplets in fact – Erin, Mandy, and Missy! They went viral in October 2016 with their wand shaped brushes! Since then, they’ve been working incredibly hard to create and deliver top of the line products inspired by stories. Currently, their shop features Wizard Wand Brush Sets, Bullseye Brush Sets, What’s In A Name Brush Set, and the Wizardry and Witchcraft Shadow Palette!

About the Product

Here’s a description of the palette from their website:

This is a magical palette featuring a custom hardcover storybook with a dozen highly pigmented matte, metallic and pearl eyeshadows. The cruelty-free, long wear, buttery smooth shadow formula can be used wet or dry. Mix and match to concoct your favorite spellbinding look.

Mystical shades include:
Broomstick: rusty brown (matte), Sorcerer: ruby red (metallic), Cloak: graphite grey (matte), Potions: emerald green (metallic), Prophecy: pearly white (pearl), Salem: frosted pewter (pearl), Merlin: sapphire blue (metallic), Bewitched: coppery gold (metallic), Cauldron: charcoal black (frost), Spell Book: rich mahogany (pearl), Charms: shell pink (matte) and Jinx: shimmering silver (metallic).

The patent pending Wizardry and Witchcraft Eyeshadow Palette Book™ features a gorgeous vintage style storybook complete with gold foil details and full-sized mirror. This one of a kind book is worthy of any beauty archive.

Cost and Shipping

This palette costs $52 and Storybook Cosmetics ships worldwide excluding China, Thailand, Mexico, and South America. Some products may be available to US only due to licensing restrictions.

Packaging

When I first saw sneak peeks of this product, I thought the packaging looked bulky. The design seemed cute and all but I wasn’t sure if I’d like the idea of shadows in a bulky book shaped palette. However, I had full faith in these talented ladies and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The palette comes in a sleeve and both come in a pouch with their logo in the center.

The palette is the perfect size and the vintage style with gold foil details is beyond stunning!

I love the detailing that went behind the packaging with the quote they have right below the mirror inside!

I also love the back of the palette and sleeve. The back of the palette has a quote they created that I really adore, “Once upon a time, there were three sisters who never stopped believing in fairytales…and they all lived happily ever after.” Below that is their copyright information and logo. The sleeve has all this plus the shades and ingredients listed.

Formula

The formula is buttery and the shade range is what I had hoped it would be – magical. I found all the shades to be blendable and pigmented. The metallics ands pearls are more pigmented than the mattes, but that’s something I tend to expect with all palettes. The swatches are without primer and one layer of product. I love that there’s a gold and silver, green and blue, and basically just a bunch of different colors I associate this theme with!

Final Thoughts

I had pretty high expectations for this palette. Not just the formula, but the packaging as well. I know I won’t use this palette daily but I knew that before purchasing the palette. I love supporting indie brands, especially brands with great customer service and a team of people who love what they do and care about their customers and fans. The team behind Storybook Cosmetics does just this! I’m looking forward to their upcoming projects that are planned to release this year along with what else they have coming down the road.

A malicious witchcraft

Others may resort to psychological manipulation, casting spells that influence the thoughts and emotions of individuals, leading to mental distress or even insanity. The motivations behind malicious witchcraft can vary. Some practitioners may seek vengeance against those they perceive as wrongdoers or enemies. Others may be driven by jealousy, envy, or a desire for power and control. Regardless of the motive, the use of witchcraft for malicious purposes is intended to cause pain, suffering, or even death to the person or persons targeted. Throughout history, there have been numerous accounts of individuals accused of practicing malicious witchcraft. In many cases, innocent people were falsely accused and subjected to trials, often resulting in their persecution, torture, and execution. The mere suspicion of being involved in witchcraft was enough to destroy lives and communities. Today, belief in witchcraft and its malicious aspects persists in some cultures and societies. Witchcraft-related violence, such as witch-hunting and witch killings, continue to occur in certain parts of the world. These acts are often driven by superstition, fear, and a belief in the supernatural powers of witches. In conclusion, malicious witchcraft represents the dark side of a practice that has existed for centuries. It involves the deliberate use of spells, curses, and rituals to harm others physically, mentally, or emotionally. While the belief in witchcraft has evolved, and much of it has been debunked in modern society, it is essential to recognize the potential harm that can be caused by those who practice malicious witchcraft. Furthermore, it is crucial to challenge superstitions and promote tolerance, understanding, and respect for the diverse beliefs and practices of different cultures..

Reviews for "Approaching the Witching Hour: A Look into the World of Malicious Witchcraft"

1. Rebecca - 2 stars - "I found 'A malicious witchcraft' to be extremely predictable and clichéd. The plot felt recycled and lacked any originality. The characters were flat and one-dimensional, making it hard to empathize or connect with any of them. Additionally, the writing style was overly descriptive and verbose, which made it difficult to stay engaged. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to others."
2. Michael - 1 star - "I couldn't even bring myself to finish 'A malicious witchcraft'. The story was slow-paced and lacked any real tension or suspense. The author seemed more interested in describing the scenery and background details rather than developing a captivating plot. Moreover, the dialogue was unrealistic and forced, making the characters feel artificial. I regret wasting my time on this book and would advise others to skip it altogether."
3. Emily - 2 stars - "I was initially intrigued by the concept of 'A malicious witchcraft', but it quickly fell flat for me. The pacing was inconsistent, with long periods of boredom interrupted by brief moments of action. The writing felt disjointed and amateurish, and the characters were underdeveloped. I also found the ending to be unsatisfying and unresolved. Overall, this book failed to deliver on its promise, and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a captivating and well-crafted witchcraft story."
4. Daniel - 2.5 stars - "While 'A malicious witchcraft' had its moments, I found it overall to be a mediocre read. The plot had potential, but it was poorly executed and filled with plot holes. The main character lacked depth and growth, and the secondary characters felt like mere clichés. Furthermore, the book was riddled with grammatical errors and typos, which added to my frustration. Overall, I was left feeling underwhelmed by this book and wouldn't recommend it to others unless they have a strong interest in witchcraft fiction."
5. Jennifer - 1.5 stars - "I found 'A malicious witchcraft' to be an incredibly dull and uninteresting book. The story dragged on with little to no plot development, and the characters were forgettable. The descriptions were excessive and did not serve to enhance the story in any way. I struggled to finish this book and when I finally did, I felt like I had wasted my time. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for an engaging witchcraft tale."
