Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a wicked witch named Bitr. Bitr was infamous amongst the inhabitants of the land for her dark magic and malevolent deeds. She thrived on the misery of others and derived pleasure from causing chaos and despair. Bitr's powers were extraordinary, making her feared and respected by many. With a wave of her twisted staff, she could summon the forces of darkness and inflict unimaginable pain on her victims. She had a cackling laugh that sent chills down the spine of anyone who heard it.

Kitchen Witches probably had their cultural moment in the late 20th century when they were a popular motif for all manner of kitchen implements such as salt and pepper shakers, tea towels, trivets and crocks. The House first encountered this usage at the local pizzeria, which is run by a self-proclaimed Pizza Witch, who shoves dough into a wood-burning oven and extracts wonderfully crisp and delicious pizzas a few minutes later.

Vardø

Vardø is the oldest town in northern Norway and the easternmost in the country.

Vardø has the best viewpoint towards the Norwegian-Russian Arctic and the Northeast Passage. It will thrill you with its location on a windy island, connected to the mainland with Norway's oldest underwater tunnel. It will freshen you up with its climate (this is the last stop before the North Pole). And it will amuse you with its good-humored and friendly people. Vardø municipality has approximately 2,200 inhabitants. It is the only town in Norway situated in the Arctic climate zone. This of course means a lot for vegetation and animal life.

In Vardø you should visit the local Varanger Museum as well as the Pomor Museum, the Vardøhus Fortress and the Witch-burning monument. If you extend your stroll, experience the seaside promenade and the Brodtkorbsjåene buildings. From the eastern side of the island, you will have great views towards Hornøya, the easternmost island in Norway and also the easternmost point of the country. The Vardø Lighthouse, built in 1896, is erected on the island's peak. The island is now uninhabited and in the steep mountainsides around 40,000 pairs of birds have their nesting place. Hornøya is, because of this, a preserved wildlife reserve. When you turn south, you will see the southern side of the Varanger Fjord behind the Globus-II radar. In Vardø you can enjoy wind from all directions, waves splashing, snow in large amounts and - in clear weather - truly fantastic northern lights.

However, tragedy struck when her beloved pet dragon was killed by a group of villagers who feared its power. Consumed by grief, Beatrice turned to dark magic in an attempt to bring her dragon back to life. Unbeknownst to her, dabbling in the dark arts corrupted her pure heart and twisted her soul. Thus, she became the wicked witch known as Bitr. As Bitr sought revenge on those who had wronged her, she became increasingly wicked and relentless in her pursuit of power. She reveled in the suffering of others, casting curses and creating potions that would bring misery and despair to anyone unfortunate enough to cross her path. Bitr's wickedness knew no bounds. She would often disguise herself as an ordinary traveler, luring unsuspecting victims with her beguiling charms. Once they fell under her spell, she would reveal her true form and subject them to her torturous magic. Despite her evil nature, there were whispers amongst the villagers that Bitr could be defeated. Legends spoke of a chosen hero who possessed the strength and courage to vanquish the wicked witch. Young warriors from far and wide would embark on perilous quests, hoping to be the one destined to save the land from Bitr's tyranny. As the tales of the wicked witch on Bitr continued to spread, the land became consumed by fear and darkness. People lived in constant dread, never knowing when they would fall victim to Bitr's wicked machinations. The wicked witch on Bitr serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us of the dangers of allowing grief and revenge to consume our souls. Bitr's transformation from a kind-hearted individual to a wicked witch is a reminder of the importance of nurturing love and compassion in our hearts to avoid succumbing to darkness. Only through the bravery and resilience of the chosen hero can Bitr be defeated, bringing light and hope back to the land she once terrorized. Thus, the wicked witch on Bitr's tale remains an enduring legend, serving as a reminder of the power of good over evil..
