New moon witchcraft practice involves harnessing the unique energy present during the lunar phase of the new moon. This practice is commonly used by witches and spellcasters to set intentions, make wishes, and manifest desires. The new moon is symbolic of new beginnings and represents a powerful time for personal growth and transformation. During the new moon, the moon is not visible in the sky, as it is positioned between the Earth and the Sun. This symbolism of darkness and hidden potential is often associated with the witchcraft practice, as it encourages introspection and self-reflection. It is believed that during this time, the veil between the spiritual and physical realms is thin, making it easier to connect with the energy of the universe.

While witch Gwyn Jones s mother and cousin are away, Gwyn is left alone to manage the family magic store, mentor some younger witches, and somehow ignore how lonely she feels. Things are good, but when Llewellyn Wells Penhallow arrives, Gwyn suddenly has to contend with a new shop Penhallow s just across the street from her own, and Wells proves to be absolutely as infuriating as Gwyn remembers.

It is believed that during this time, the veil between the spiritual and physical realms is thin, making it easier to connect with the energy of the universe. Witches who practice new moon rituals typically engage in various activities, such as meditation, visualization, and spellcasting. These practices are aimed at aligning one's intentions with the energetic vibrations of the new moon to manifest desired outcomes.

Book Review: The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling

I was so excited to get approved for this on NetGalley. I loved The Ex Hex, and was excited to return to the town of Graves Glen, as well as the Jones and Penhallow witches. Following the events of The Ex Hex, it’s now the magic of the Jones women that flows through the town of Graves Glen. Gwyn is running Something Wicked, and starts mentoring a trio of Baby Witches who are finding the courses at the university as restricting as she did, magic wise. Things are good, but when Llewellyn “Wells” Penhallow arrives, Gwyn suddenly has to contend with a new shop – Penhallow’s – just across the street from her own, and Wells proves to be absolutely as infuriating as Gwyn remembers.

Actually, that’s my only slight niggle with the book – despite a few chances to do so, Gwyn never reveals to Wells that they actually did kind of meet back at the single term he spent at the university, a scene which we’re shown here through a prologue. I really wanted that to be revealed, especially when Wells lets out his own secret from his time there.

Despite that, I loved this as much as the first book. Gwyn was such a great character, especially in contrast to her cousin, and it was really sweet to get a glimpse of Viv and Rhys from Book 1, enjoying marital bliss. Those two are still adorable, and I really loved the scenes where either of them appeared – it’s nice to see a couple so completely in love in their post-honeymoon period (even if they technically haven’t been on their actual honeymoon yet).

But of course, it’s Gwyn and Wells who really steal the book. They’re both stubborn as hell, determined, and have such good character arcs. Every scene they’re in together you can feel the tension between them, the kind that makes you basically scream, now kiss! at the book.

I absolutely love the way the magical elements are weaved in, too, and the way we get to see a bit more of the witchy world. Sterling has done a great job here, with two characters it’s easy to fall in love with, and I really enjoyed this one.

Thank you to Headline Eternal for providing me a copy of this book via NetGalley. Views remain my own.

Some witches may also use tools such as crystals, herbs, and candles to enhance the energy and focus of their rituals. Setting intentions during the new moon is an essential aspect of this practice. It involves clarifying and affirming specific goals or desires that one wishes to manifest. By focusing one's energy and intention during this phase, it is believed that the universe is more receptive to aiding in the manifestation process. The new moon provides an opportunity to release any negative energies or limiting beliefs that may hinder the manifestation of these desires. New moon witchcraft practice offers a sacred and intimate space for witches to connect with their intuition, harness their personal power, and create positive change in their lives. It serves as a reminder to trust the cycles of nature and embrace the potential for growth and transformation. Through this practice, witches tap into their own magical abilities and create a harmonious balance between their spiritual and physical selves. In conclusion, new moon witchcraft practice is a powerful and transformative way for witches to connect with the energy of the lunar cycle. By harnessing the energy of the new moon, witches can set intentions, make wishes, and manifest their desires. This practice encourages self-reflection and personal growth, allowing witches to tap into their own magical abilities and create positive change in their lives..
