Where it falls in the overall scheme of things is irrelevant to the more important fact; that Witch on the Holy Night is one of the most incredible visual novels of all time. Unfortunately, everyone is just a smidge or very off-kilter, with supporting characters only contributing to the chaos and mayhem as Shizuki accidentally inserts himself into other people s relationships by being an oblivious but wholesome guy.

Regarding the translation, wonder whether the fan translation of the original that finished just recently with only a bit of editing left has anything to do with it. That would at least explain why this game will have an official english translation while Tsukihime Remake hasn't received any such announcement yet.
Witch on the Holy Night is a strange coming-of-age story about three high schoolers living in a mansion. It stars the mage, Aoko Aozaki, a hot-blooded powerhouse, the mysterious Witch Alice Kuonji, and Soujuuro Shizuki, the mild-mannered transfer student who is kind of forced against his will to live with the two of them in their mansion in the off-skirts of Misaki town.
You see, magic is supposed to be kept secret, and Shizuki, bless this kid, just happened to spot them in the park, doing some mage things. However, that’s bad. So after a bunch of stuff happens, Shizuki finds himself living in the mansion under supervision until Aoko and Alice can figure out what to do with him.
With a flick of her wand, she could turn a broom into a snake or transform a pumpkin into a carriage. Her laughter would fill the air as she watched the confusion and surprise on the faces of her victims. Despite her mischievous nature, the tremendous flying witch had a heart of gold. She would often use her powers for good, helping those in need and bringing joy to the lives of others. She would swoop down from the sky to rescue lost animals or to grant wishes to those who were deserving. The villagers grew to love and admire her, knowing that her antics were all in good fun. The witch's broomstick was not just a mode of transportation, but an extension of her personality and power. It was a symbol of her freedom and independence, allowing her to explore the world and spread her magic far and wide. With her broomstick in hand, she was unstoppable, conquering the skies and leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. In the end, the tremendous flying witch with a broom taught us that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, with a sense of adventure and a touch of mischief.
