The series revolves around the adventures of Mildred Hubble, a young witch attending Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches. Mildred is often referred to as "The Worst Witch" due to her many mishaps and accidents. Despite her best intentions, Mildred always seems to get into trouble, much to the dismay of her classmates and teachers. However, she is always determined to improve and prove herself as a capable witch.
Many of those times, I wore myself out with trying to be something I wasn’t simply because I wasn’t being honest with myself. I wasn’t honest about who I was or who I wanted to be. I was so focused on external opinions—What did Chris think about this? What would my mom think? Would my friends be impressed?
This is why the days you lose sight of your canvas your why and are just throwing around paint your MAGIC turn out to be nothing but a mess no matter how well you try to throw the paint. What leads to our being overwhelmed in our everyday lives is doing a bunch of things that take up a lot of our time but that have no purpose in our lives.
However, she is always determined to improve and prove herself as a capable witch. Throughout the series, readers follow Mildred as she navigates her way through magical lessons, formulates potions, and encounters various challenges. From turning her fellow witch's hair blue to accidentally setting fire to her broomstick, Mildred's antics make for an entertaining and humorous read.
