- John Doe - 1/5 stars - I found "The Talisman" by Peter Straub to be incredibly boring and confusing. The plot seemed all over the place, with too many characters and subplots that didn't really add anything significant to the story. The writing style was also very dry and unengaging, making it difficult for me to connect with the characters or feel any sense of excitement. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with this book and would not recommend it to anyone.
