1. Jane - 2/5 stars - I recently read "Tarot Witch of the Black Rose Volume 1" and I was quite disappointed. The story lacked depth and the characters were one-dimensional. The artwork was also subpar, with some panels appearing rushed and poorly executed. Additionally, the dialogue felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to connect with the characters or immerse myself in the story. Overall, I found this volume to be underwhelming and not worth the hype.
2. Mike - 2/5 stars - "Tarot Witch of the Black Rose Volume 1" failed to meet my expectations. The storyline was convoluted and hard to follow, jumping from one subplot to another without providing a clear narrative. The artwork, although visually appealing in some panels, was inconsistent throughout the book, with disproportionate characters and awkward poses. The female characters were overly sexualized, which further detracted from the overall quality of the story. In my opinion, there are much better supernatural-themed graphic novels out there that offer a more cohesive and engaging reading experience.

The story had a lot of potential, but it was overshadowed by gratuitous nudity and sexualization of the female characters. This made it difficult to take the plot seriously and undermined any meaningful character development. Furthermore, the artwork often lacked detail and appeared rushed, making it hard to fully appreciate the scenes. I would not recommend this volume to anyone looking for a well-crafted and respectful portrayal of witchcraft and the supernatural.
