The Witches' Sabbat: October Celebrations for Covens

By admin

Hello fellow witchy folk! It's that time of year again - October, the month of magic and mystery. As we embrace the fall season and all things spooky, there are several celebrations that we should mark on our calendars. These events are perfect for all witches, Wiccans, and those who have a fascination with the occult. Let's dive in and discover all the October celebrations that will leave us feeling enchanted. First up, we have Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. **Samhain** is a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is thinnest, making it an ideal opportunity to communicate with our ancestors and connect with the spirit realm.

I couldn t find any listings of this brand s releases on various countries Amazons or eBay but I had the idea to look and see if Sweden had their own equivalent of eBay and of course, they did. **Samhain** is a time when the veil between the living and the spirit world is thinnest, making it an ideal opportunity to communicate with our ancestors and connect with the spirit realm. It is customary to light bonfires and carve pumpkins, known as jack-o'-lanterns, to ward off evil spirits. This celebration is a wonderful way to honor our heritage and embrace the magic of this special time of year.

I found Ju-on: The Curse 1 and 2 with English subtitles on DVD!

I've been almost desperately searching for these movies on DVD with English subtitles for a couple of years now. I absolutely love the first four movies and wanted to add them all to my collection. I've asked around a few times and no one was aware of any English friendly release. The other day, I was looking at foreign releases of the movies on blu-ray.com and found that there were DVD releases of the first two movies with English subtitles in Sweden from the Asian Vision label.

I couldn't find any listings of this brand's releases on various countries' Amazons or eBay but I had the idea to look and see if Sweden had their own equivalent of eBay and of course, they did. It's a site called Tradera. I managed to find a couple of listings with one or both of the movies and managed to buy them for $20 plus around $10 shipping. Not bad for such rare movies!

Here's links to the pages on these releases on blu-ray.com:

Ju-on: The Curse 2: https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Ju-on-2-DVD/85742/

A boxed set with Ju-on: The Curse, Ju-on: The Grudge, and Ju-on: The Grudge 2: https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Asian-Vision-Box-DVD/146408/

Keep in mind that these are almost certainly Region 2 releases and will not play on most DVD players if you live in the United States. I'd highly recommend investing in a Region Free DVD, Blu-Ray, or 4K player.

October celebrations for witchy folk

Next on our list is **Halloween**, the modern-day celebration that originated from ancient Samhain traditions. On October 31st, we can dress up in our most bewitching costumes and take part in the festivities. Whether we choose to go trick-or-treating, attend a costume party, or host our own magical gathering, Halloween is a time to embrace our true selves and let our inner witch shine. **Halloween** allows us to connect with the supernatural and indulge in the mystical aura of the night. But the celebrations don't stop there! In addition to Samhain and Halloween, we have **Día de los Muertos**, or the Day of the Dead, which is celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries from October 31st to November 2nd. This vibrant and colorful celebration is a time to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed away. Altars are created with their photographs, favorite foods, and other cherished items, while marigold flowers and sugar skulls add a touch of whimsy to the festivities. **Día de los Muertos** is a wonderful opportunity to blend our witchy traditions with the rich cultural practices of our Latinx friends. Lastly, we have **All Hallow's Eve**, a traditional Christian observance that occurs on the evening of October 31st. It is a time to remember and honor the saints and martyrs who have gone before us. While it is not specifically a celebration for witches, it is a chance to reflect on the journey of those who have come before us and acknowledge the interconnectedness of all spiritual beliefs. In conclusion, October is a month filled with enchantment and celebration for witchy folk. From ancient Celtic traditions to modern-day festivities, there are countless opportunities to embrace our love for all things magical. Whether we choose to honor our ancestors on Samhain, embrace our inner witch on Halloween, pay tribute to loved ones on Día de los Muertos, or reflect on the spiritual journey during All Hallow's Eve, let's embrace this magical month and make the most of the October celebrations that resonate with our witchy souls. Happy October, my fellow witches!.

Reviews for "October Magic: Spells and Rituals for the Witchy Soul"

1. John - 2/5 - I was really excited to attend the October celebrations for witchy folk, but I was left disappointed. The event promised all sorts of mystical activities and a unique atmosphere, but it felt more like a cheap fair than a magical gathering. The decorations were tacky, the entertainers were subpar, and the overall energy of the event was lacking. I expected to immerse myself in a world of witchcraft and wonder, but instead, I left feeling like I wasted my time and money.
2. Sarah - 3/5 - As someone who identifies as a witch, I was eager to attend the October celebrations for witchy folk. However, I found the event to be lacking in authenticity. The vendors were selling mass-produced merchandise that lacked the handmade and artisanal feel I was hoping for. The workshops and classes offered were also disappointingly basic and didn't provide any deep insights or valuable knowledge. Overall, the event had potential, but it fell short of delivering an authentic and enriching experience for witchy individuals like myself.
3. Emily - 2/5 - The October celebrations for witchy folk were marketed as a unique and enchanting experience, but it felt more like a glorified Halloween party. The organizers seemed more focused on creating a spooky atmosphere rather than celebrating the true essence of witchcraft. The entertainment was mediocre, the craft vendors were generic, and the overall vibe was more kitschy than mystical. If you're truly interested in witchcraft, I'd recommend seeking out smaller, more genuine gatherings rather than wasting your time at this event.
4. David - 1/5 - I attended the October celebrations for witchy folk and was utterly disappointed. The whole event felt like a cash grab, with overpriced tickets and lackluster experiences. The workshops lacked depth and were more like introductory sessions rather than providing any substantial knowledge or skills. The organizers clearly cared more about profit than creating an authentic and engaging environment for witchy individuals. Save your money and seek out other, more genuine events and gatherings.
