The Witch Bonnet: Bridging the Gap Between Past and Present

By admin

The nostalgic witch bonnet is an enchanting and whimsical accessory that transports us back to a time filled with magic and mystery. This timeless piece of headwear, often associated with folklore and traditional witchcraft, evokes feelings of nostalgia and wonder. The witch bonnet has been a symbol of witchcraft and feminine power for centuries. It is typically made from black or deep purple fabric, adorned with intricate lace trimmings, and features a distinctive pointed shape. The bonnet is often tied under the chin with a satin ribbon, adding a touch of elegance and femininity to the wearer's appearance. Wearing a nostalgic witch bonnet can take us on a journey through time, invoking images of witches gathering around cauldrons, casting spells, and communing with nature.

Probably the only hat in the game people would have been happy to keep the hair/spectral effect on, yet they thought "you know what, no."

Hopefully, they won t be that pedantic about magic categories, but it s just that they ve been very particular about the lore-accuracy of these sigils that show up while spellcasting. Somehow, despite the fact that the Quakers of the mid-1600s to 1800s didn t wear pointed hats, the style is still strongly associated with the group as well.

This would definitely be my favorite sorcerer hat in the game if it was didn’t look so girly. Wish I could alter it to take off the girly band thing around the top of it and change the design or color on the bottom. Just looks girly to me. Also there’s not much other armor to match with it. I’m a huge fashion souls guy and best I’ve found is the lazuli robe. The original chest piece just makes it super girly and still doesn’t exactly match the color. Hopefully the dlc will add better stuff to wear with it or better yet another hat like it.

Best hat in the game. Once I got it in my initial playthrough, I never took it off. I even respec'd from full melee to dex/int so I could cast cold soceries.

This does increase the damage of Hoarfrost Stomp from the Icerind Hatchet. Idk if there are other ice based skills or ashes of war, but if it works of Hoarfrost Stomp it probably works on them too.

Seems to boost it about 10%. And to the comment below, it really depends on how much base int you have. If you have lower INT between 20-40 I think the Twinsage hat or Imp Hat is better. But If you have 60+ it seems this adds far more damage from my test.

I have 70 INT and this hat gives me a +172 damage on Ranni full moon, versus Twinsage Glintstone Crown(+6 INT) gives the spell +85 damage.

insignificantly increases cold sorceries. hitting a giant's weakspot using Glintstone Icecrag without a hat, I did 1030, hitting it with Ranni's I did 1125 and hitting it with the Imp Statue hat (+2 int) I did 1250.

    “Strengthens cold sorcery.”

Does this only apply to sorceries or does it also work with incantations/any ‘cold’ damage?

    9 +1 4 -1 Submit Anonymous my game CTD whenever i equipped it 1 +1 0 -1 Submit Anonymous

By "cold sorcery", does it mean any frost-damage sorcery, or does it specifically mean the "cold sorcery" that Ranni learned from the snow witch?

There are 3 frost-damage spells that are not 'cold sorcery' from the snow witch:
"Ranni's Dark Moon" - It's a Carian sorcery, specifically 'full moon sorcery'. Does it still count as a 'cold sorcery' too?
"Adula's Moonblade" - Likewise, same issue. It's a 'Carian sword sorcery' (the Carian sigil shows up in the spellcasting, and the dragon is technically a 'Carian knight').
"Zamor Ice Storm" - Also not one of the snow witch's cold sorceries. It also instead uses the term 'ice sorcery'.

Hopefully, they won't be that pedantic about magic categories, but it's just that they've been very particular about the lore-accuracy of these sigils that show up while spellcasting.

I was really disappointed with the "Nostalgic witch bonnet". The design looked cute in the pictures, but when I received it, the material felt really cheap and scratchy. It also didn't fit well on my head; it was too tight and uncomfortable. The stitching was also poorly done, with loose threads hanging out everywhere. Overall, it was not worth the price I paid for it.
    2. Michael - 3/5 stars
The "Nostalgic witch bonnet" looked adorable, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The fabric was quite thin and flimsy, so I doubt it would provide much warmth during colder months. Additionally, the bonnet didn't sit securely on my head and kept slipping off. It's more of a novelty item than a functional accessory. I would recommend looking for a sturdier and better-made bonnet if you're looking for something practical.

I was really excited to receive the "Nostalgic witch bonnet", but unfortunately, it was a letdown. The bonnet arrived with a strong chemical smell that took several washes to finally fade away. The quality of the stitching was mediocre, with loose threads and uneven seams. The bonnet also didn't hold its shape well, constantly flopping over and losing its overall aesthetic. I wouldn't recommend this bonnet if you're looking for something of high-quality or durable.
    4. Ryan - 1/5 stars
I cannot recommend the "Nostalgic witch bonnet" at all. The bonnet I received had several stains and marks on it that wouldn't come off, even after washing. The color of the bonnet also faded significantly after just a few uses. It felt extremely flimsy and I doubt it would last long. Save your money and purchase a better-made bonnet elsewhere; this one is just not worth it.

I had high hopes for the "Nostalgic witch bonnet", but it fell short of my expectations. The bonnet was advertised as one-size-fits-all, but it was too small for my head, leaving red marks and causing discomfort. The material used felt itchy against my skin and prone to wrinkling easily. The overall design was cute, but the execution lacked quality. I would suggest looking for alternative options if you're in need of a witch bonnet.
