1. John - 2 stars - I really didn't understand the choice for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology mascot. A beaver? Seriously? It's not the most intimidating or inspiring choice. I feel like they could have chosen something more representative of the institution's reputation for innovation and intelligence. A mascot should be something that students and alumni can rally behind, and I just don't see how a beaver can accomplish that.

A beaver might be cute and all, but it doesn't exactly inspire school spirit or represent the excellence and brilliance of the institution. It almost feels like a missed opportunity for something more creative and dynamic. I wish there was more thought put into the choice of our mascot.
