Looking back: The rise of Juice Kiffin

Tony the Landshark and Colonel Reb may have been official mascots for Ole Miss athletic teams in seasons past, but Juice, head coach Lane Kiffin’s furry best friend, is so popular among the Ole Miss faithful now that he has become an unofficial mascot for the football team.

Fans are familiar with the Golden British Labrador Retriever that prances down the Walk of Champions at every home game. And “his” active presence on Twitter provides comedic relief daily.

On April 26, Kiffin tweeted: “Thank you so much @wildrosekennels for ‘Juice’ @OleMissFB new mascot.”

Since that spring day, Juice has brought so much joy to the Oxford community and has undoubtedly become a celebrity in his own right. Juice wrote his first tweet in June and continues to post regularly.

ESPN’s “College Gameday,” on campus for the Kentucky game in October, produced a special feature on Juice and had this to say about his addition to Ole Miss’ campus: “Juice has 25k Twitter followers … more than any player on the team.”

When the team arrives on campus for a game, Juice gets off the bus first, alongside Kiffin’s son, Knox, and walks down the Walk of Champions ahead of the players to greet fans before kickoff. On the field during warm-ups, Juice makes the rounds to get players hyped for the game.

During the game, however, coaches do not want “the Juice loose,” so he has his own tent on the sideline where he sits while his dad is busy at work.

On Twitter, in the Grove or on the field, Juice brings laughter and entertainment to Ole Miss football fans.

Reviews for "Experience the Spellbinding Beauty of Lights in New Jersey"

I was really disappointed with the Magic of Lights in New Jersey. The whole experience was underwhelming and not worth the price of admission. The light displays were lackluster and didn't live up to the hype. It felt like the organizers put in minimal effort into creating a truly magical and enchanting atmosphere. I've seen better light shows in my own neighborhood during Christmas time. Save your money and skip this one.

I had higher expectations for the Magic of Lights in New Jersey, but unfortunately, it fell short. The light installations were not impressive and lacked creativity. It felt like the organizers rushed through the designs without putting much thought into it. The whole experience felt uninspired and didn't create that sense of wonder and excitement that I was hoping for. I would recommend exploring other light shows in the area instead.

I regretted going to the Magic of Lights in New Jersey. The ticket prices were way too expensive for what they offered. The light displays were repetitive, and it felt like they ran out of ideas after the first few. I expected a grand and awe-inspiring experience, but it was just underwhelming. The traffic was also a nightmare, making the whole experience even more frustrating. I would advise against wasting your time and money on this event.
4. Emily Davis - 2 stars
The Magic of Lights in New Jersey was a huge letdown for me. The light displays were average at best, and I've seen similar ones at other local events. The lines were extremely long, and the whole experience felt disorganized. It was difficult to navigate through the event, and I found myself feeling more frustrated than entertained. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this event unless you have very low expectations.
5. Michael Brown - 1 star
I was highly disappointed with the Magic of Lights in New Jersey. The light displays were mediocre and lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. It felt like the organizers tried to cover up the lackluster displays with loud music and flashy effects, but it only made the whole experience feel overstimulating and chaotic. The event was overpriced, and I left feeling like I wasted my time and money. I would advise looking for alternative light shows that offer a more fulfilling experience.
