1. Bob - 2 stars - I recently purchased the Ludwig black magic deep snare and I have to say I am quite disappointed. First of all, the deep snare sound that I was expecting is not there at all. It has a very dull and muffled tone, making it almost blend in with the rest of the drum set. Secondly, the snare wires on this drum are ridiculously sensitive. Even with the slightest hit, they rattle and buzz uncontrollably. Overall, I found the Ludwig black magic deep snare to be a huge letdown and I would not recommend it to any drummer.

2. Jane - 3 stars - As an experienced drummer, I had high hopes for the Ludwig black magic deep snare. However, I found it to be quite underwhelming. The sound is not as deep as advertised and lacks a distinct punch. It also doesn't offer much versatility in terms of tuning options. Another issue I encountered was with the build quality.
