Annie Palmer, also known as the White Witch, was a notorious figure in Jamaican history. Born in the 19th century, she lived on the Rose Hall plantation near Montego Bay. Annie Palmer gained her reputation due to her alleged involvement in witchcraft and her cruel treatment of slaves. Legend has it that Annie Palmer was a practitioner of voodoo and held rituals to communicate with spirits. She was said to have possessed a vast knowledge of dark magic and used it for her own gain. Her powers, according to local folklore, allowed her to control the minds and actions of those around her.

Exhausted and lost, Lysander and Hermia lie down to sleep. Puck, who thinks he has found Demetrius, sprinkles the juice of the magic flower on Lysander’s eyes. Demetrius appears, still pursued by Helena, and angrily abandons her. Alone and in despair, she sees the sleeping Lysander and wakes him. Under the effect of the spell, he immediately declares his love. Helena is furious and runs off, thinking he is making fun of her. Lysander follows. Hermia awakes from a terrible dream to find herself alone.

Shakespeare himself created a lovely bit of fun in Act V of Midsummer, when he has the aptly-called Rude Mechanicals strut and fret their roughly cobbled together production of Pyramus and Thisby in honor of Duke Theseus s wedding, and this is what they will present on the Keiki Stage. This amazing 2-day celebration of story and song just gets better and better, and as you can see from your programs, here at the Keiki Stage, we ll offer one terrific entertainer after another keep your eyes on us.

Her powers, according to local folklore, allowed her to control the minds and actions of those around her. One of the most chilling aspects of Annie Palmer's story is her treatment of her slaves. It is said that she was particularly harsh and cruel, inflicting severe punishments on those who crossed her.

What an amazing experience. Hanging out in paradise with the awesome crew and musicians was the best part of my vacation. When you're done get yourself some tasty food inside the little tackle shop on the dock and continue having the best day ever!

Best tour group i’ve used in Hawaii. We did the lunch sandbar tour and had an amazing time. The crew is very nice, attentive, clean, and diligent. (The guy with the long hair that speaks Japanese is helpful, funny, and overall making sure you are taken care of, the whole staff is but he stands out). They have a super clean boat (saw them cleaning it after the tour before us). They have good bathrooms, changing room, water and juice available, nice lunch food with real pineapple (read other tours give canned), and great clean snorkeling gear. Lots of equipment for sports to keep you entertained. Sand bar is 4-5 ft deep in sept but lifejackets help keep kids safe. Highly recommend! Tip your staff!

The stories of torture and brutality inflicted on the slaves at Rose Hall have become part of Jamaican folklore, cementing her reputation as a wicked witch. Annie Palmer's reign of terror came to an end with the arrival of her third husband, John Palmer. He was reportedly murdered by Annie herself, adding to the fear and mystery surrounding her. However, her reign did not last much longer, as she was murdered by a slave named Takoo in 1831. Today, the legend of Annie Palmer still lingers around the Rose Hall plantation. Many visitors claim to have had paranormal experiences and eerie encounters while exploring the mansion. Some believe that Annie's spirit continues to haunt the halls, seeking vengeance or redemption. Whether Annie Palmer was truly a witch or simply a deeply troubled woman, her story continues to captivate and intrigue. Her tale of dark magic and cruelty serves as a reminder of the dark history of slavery and the power of superstition in shaping narratives..
