Zenith -- by Encarded

Unread post by Sher » Mon Mar 17, 2014 9:10 am

So I thought there was already a thread for this, but I did a search and I came up with nothing, so if a thread does exist, mods please merge.

Encarded Signature Series Zenith, printed by the Expert Playing Card Company
Limited Edition; only 1000 will be available
From the picture, it looks like the tuck box will have a side flap like the Exquisites (sorry if that sounds weird, I can't think of how to describe it properly right now).

I think Paul teased us with pictures in other threads. This looks amazing, love how the holographic foil works with that thick black paper used for the tuck box. I cant wait to see the cards !

I really hope we get a heads up on when these will be released. With only 1000, I could easily see myself missing them if no forewarning is given.

Don't worry, I'll give plenty of warning and will probably split the 1,000 into a few batches to make sure as many folks as possible can get in on them, if so desired. They came out pretty nice.

Awesome, thanks Paul!

The court cards in the picture seems to be slightly off-center though, looking at the distance from the indices to the edge.

Yes they are, because that was an old teaser picture of a prototype printed by MakePlayingCards.com.

The real deal is perfect, of course.

That's morphing around a little in exactly what it will be, but we still talk quite frequently. Don't worry.

I obviously have very few, in a relative sense, to sell this time around. Historically my projects have gone through 1,000 decks quite rapidly so I do understand it will probably be a little harder to get one of these.

To make that easier for more people, I was going to do the release in a few batches. Perhaps 500 at the start, and when those sell, open another batch at another time so that people in other timezones don't have to be up at 3am.

I actually do want feedback on one thing I was considering. Do you think that with a limited release like this, any single order should be limited to purchasing a certain (small) number? Limit it to 6? Zenith isn't a $5 deck so I don't expect everyone to want a brick, but I do want to give as many people as possible the chance to get some. I don't want someone with big pockets to come in, buy 72 and then sell them all on ebay. Thoughts?

I think that's a great idea. And I think 6 is a good number for the max.

I'm sure some people would be upset if the limit is less than a brick, but for a small run like this I feel it's more than fair (necessary, even) to have a limit of 6 decks tops. If it were me I'd probably set it to 3, but that decision is yours alone.

I usually go for a trio but I wouldn't mind half a brick.

Where is that darned boat, Paul? People are going to be camped on your doorstep soon.

I'm thinking that 6 sounds great and I would love to have a half a brick, but if everyone gets 6 than 500 is only about 85 buyers. I'm sure not everyone will get 6, but I bet most will.

I'm honestly still working that out. Somewhat depends on final freight shipping costs from New York. I'm still going back and forth trying to find that balance, but I can say it will be more than a plain Aurum deck and less than a White Gold deck.

The court cards in the picture seems to be slightly off-center though, looking at the distance from the indices to the edge.
Craft a small piece of magic

It doesn't take much to perform these small acts of magic. It could be as simple as holding the door open for someone, giving a compliment, or offering a helping hand to someone in need. These small gestures can have a ripple effect, spreading positivity and love throughout the world. Another way to create magic is through creating art. Art has a unique ability to transport us to another world, to make us feel things we never thought possible. Whether it's through painting, writing, music, or any other form of artistic expression, creating art is a way to tap into the magic that lies within us. By putting our thoughts, emotions, and ideas into something tangible, we can share our magic with others and inspire them to create their own. Lastly, the power of words should not be underestimated. Words have a magical ability to heal, to inspire, and to create change. Whether it's through a heartfelt conversation with a loved one, a thought-provoking speech, or even a simple compliment, the words we use have the power to shape the world around us. By choosing our words carefully and using them to spread love, kindness, and positivity, we can create a small piece of magic in our interactions with others. In conclusion, magic doesn't have to be extravagant or otherworldly. It can be found in the small, everyday moments of life. By performing acts of kindness, creating art, and using our words wisely, we can craft a small piece of magic that has the power to make a big impact. So let's embrace the magic within us and share it with the world..

Reviews for "Crafting a Magical Trinket: Unlocking Mysteries in a Small Object"

- John - 2/5 stars - I was really looking forward to reading "Craft a small piece of magic" but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment for me. The storyline lacked depth and the characters felt one-dimensional. I had a hard time connecting with any of them and found myself losing interest halfway through the book. Additionally, the writing style was lackluster and didn't capture my attention. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book if you're looking for an engaging and captivating read.
- Sarah - 3/5 stars - "Craft a small piece of magic" had an interesting concept, but it fell short in its execution. The pacing was inconsistent, with some parts dragging on and others feeling rushed. The world-building was also inadequate, leaving many unanswered questions. The main character was difficult to relate to and his motivations were unclear. While there were some enjoyable moments, overall, I felt let down by this book.
- Emily - 2/5 stars - I found "Craft a small piece of magic" to be quite underwhelming. The plot felt disjointed and lacked coherence. The magical elements introduced were intriguing at first, but their development was poorly executed. The writing style was also uninspiring and didn't add any depth to the story. I had high hopes for this book, but it ultimately failed to deliver on its promises. I would recommend seeking out other fantasy novels instead.
