The Immersive World of Watchy Burn the Witch: Exploring its Environments

By admin

In many societies throughout history, witches have been feared and persecuted. The act of witch burning was a method used to deal with these perceived threats to the community. It was believed that witches, often women, possessed supernatural powers and used them for evil intentions, causing harm to others. The witch-hunting craze reached its peak during the late medieval period and the early modern era. This was a time of great social and religious unrest, and the fear of witches was fueled by widespread superstitions and religious beliefs. The accusations against witches were often based on rumors, hearsay, or simply the fact that they did not fit into the societal norms of the time.

Historically 72% of all the deaths in London are related to dragons, fantastical beings invisible to the majority of the people.

While unknown to most, some people have been standing up to these dragons.

Only inhabitants of Reverse London who live in the hidden "reverse" side of London can see the dragons. Even then, only a selected few become qualified enough as witches or wizards to make direct contact with them.

The protagonists of the story are witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization for dragon conservation and management. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people.

Once convicted, the witches were sentenced to death by burning at the stake. Witch burnings were public spectacles, designed to instill fear and act as a deterrent to others who might practice witchcraft. The accused would be tied to a stake and surrounded by a pile of wood. The fire would be lit and the accused would be left to suffer a slow and agonizing death. The practice of witch burning was not limited to a specific country or region. It was widespread throughout Europe and even reached the New World during the Salem witch trials in 17th-century Massachusetts. Thousands of people, mostly women, were accused of witchcraft and executed during this time. Looking back, it is clear that the witch burnings were a result of mass hysteria and ignorance. The so-called witches were often innocent victims of a society that was grasping for control in a time of uncertainty. Today, we can reflect on this dark chapter in history and learn from it, striving to create a more inclusive and tolerant society..
